As most would know the class mounts from legion have certain limitations to which appearance you can use, most of the time certain appearances are bound to specs, I cant for the life of me justify why this would be as this just limits customization options for very little reason.
Why cant I use the blue dk dragon on my unholy dk? why am I forced to use the wind elemental mount on my dark iron dwarf because I felt like enhancement fit dwarves the most? why on god’s green earth did they make the night elf lunarwing form be black and the worgen one white when 99% of worgens are some variant of grey or black.
This is especially frustrating when classes like Rogue, Warlock, Paladin and Hunter get to choose which mounts they want to use.
I know it’s unlikely blizzard would ever do this considering that this is old content but it would be very convenient if they just removed these limitations and allowed us to choose which appearance we wanted to use, the class mounts are some of the best looking mounts in the game so it’s a damn shame they’re so limited.
It all comes from certain colors being tied to specs Blood is all about red color while frost is all about blue. But I agree that they should’ve left it for the players to choose what colors they use.
As for druid one well, it’s not a mount, it’s a flight form and those always have some racial limitations.
I don’t think it’s that much of a stretch for them to just let us choose which druid flight form we want when they already clearly don’t care about making them unique to each race considering kul’tirans got the white lunarwing form.
Those are separate entities, though. Same as the paladin mounts.
However, the mounts that can change their “essence” (for a lack of a better word) based on our specs, in order to fix that should be separated (a.k.a made separate entities and I kinda doubt Blizz will put the effort nowadays.)
This is one of the reasons. The other one is the fact that no other class mount had racialy unique models so why would they suddenly make one for Kul Tirans. So they chose existing one that was used by the closest race to Kul Tirans.
As a kultiran drood i have brown bear , brown cat , brown aqua form , brown boomkin and a foking white as snow flight form… my ocd is literally killing me when im in flight form… and i cant even match the white form cuz kultirans dont have white animal forms fml
You can opt out of the special flightform by talking to the person that gave it to you in the dreamgrove
EDIT: but yeah, wasn’t too pleased with a red bird on my troll druid. Really not pleased.
Like you use a 2 seater 24/7 anyways easier to use sandstone drake and normal flightform in the rare occasions that you use it if it bothers you that much
Pretty sure they’re way cheaper than that, it’s a mount from like 4 expacs ago… Also depends on the server. If you’re in a big guild, it’s always useful to ask around if anyone can make it if you provide mats/ if they can make it for a friendly price.
On my server, 84k atm. Then again, some people are selling the xillywag atv for 500k while on other servers they go for 40k. Price is really server depending.
I have the same issues on my night elf, I’ve got white hair and every single one of my forms is white except for my flight form which is black, meanwhile worgen get this perfect white flight form which I cant use for some reason
