So I noticed they have remade the epic mount now, but it cannot fly. What exactly was the point of remaking it in the first place if it cannot fly? I mean the class order hall mount from legion is a horse and can fly, so why not this one?

The point was updating models for a combat ability. Then people asked to have the updated model also as a mount which blizzard obliged. Combat ability was the main focus here, not the functionality of the mount.
