Trainers where you buy skills off directly are ‘meh’… I prefered the way how we earned it through quests, like how FF14 currently does it.
Questing out in the world would suffer heavily from this since you’d have to fly back to Org/SW every 15 minutes to buy new spells. This would make people only level through the dungeon finder. Because then they have direct access to the trainer. Which is the opposite of immersion.
Removed, now he just gives you generic NPC line
This felt like such a minor, insignificant part of WoW being an “RPG” that I literally forgot learning spells from a trainer was even a thing.
I can’t think of something I care less about being added back than this. Surely there’s way more interesting things? Making everyone go to a class trainer again is frankly not going to add anything of worth.

I agree. I like that the new starting zone has class quests again…I want more of those…bring back the class quests like the warlock demon ones!
Seriously, check out ratchet as a warlock, one of the old trainers still list the skills.

Its more inmersive, the along the way, you learned , trained and bacome better…

In vanilla my pala had his epic mount before i learned every spell… it was expensive af!
And then the levels of them… i remember shaman spells had new levels like 3 levels apart it was annoying and again expensive to keep on top of it… shaman also had so many useless spells
Was some hype behind it though specially unlocking a new spell for the first time.
I checked the warrior and he did not give me anything.
Only to players what do not like playing mmorpgs.
Not to mention the constant backtracking.
While we’re at it… There is no immersion to learn from characters I’ve surpassed.
Only possible use I can see today for class trainers is to make talent switching only available via class trainers (for free). And even then you should add a few more of them scattered around the world so you don’t need to travel 10 minutes just to switch talents.
It sure is immersive to suddenly know a talent or ability when I pay an NPC some Gold and pick something from a list. Just like real life.

Classic has still class trainers, how about join it if you are so nostalgic about the old wow’s methods? 
Well that change was aimed at hardcore high end players that didn’t realy care about RP elements. They just thought that going to the trainer every 2 levels and having important spells be locked behind quests slowed their leveling down. And these players are all about effiecency.
But you can’t just revert this now, people got used to the new system too much.
Unless the trainer teleports to you, you can’t revert this at this point.
i’m glad their not a thing thinking of all the hundreds of gold i spent across my toons in vanilia … it’s heart breaking i tell you … and money was rare back then

There’s lots of stuff that must be surgically removed or inserted back into this game, they got rid of so many good things it’s so bad
Try leveling in belf starting area and 2 shotting mobs, idk what Im playing. Cant imagine a new player enjoying this either. When I was 12 even I didn’t enjoy getting my hand held by a game like that
