So i decided to do some class trials and noticed that instead of Icecrown(Or whatever) class trial scenario, i was thrown to Stormwind instead. Not to mention that instead being given one spell at a time, all my action bars were just filled in random order with what ever i had in spellbook. A real mess.
As for me, this does not feel like a way this is upposed to work but instead of somethikng that is broken… I decided to ask is it really broken somehow or is it changed somehow?
I mean i can natrurally fill all the action bars in correct way with spells i need, but i was a biot concerned for a new player taking this trial. It does not really feel like its tyeaching anything at all but at first step, confuse the kitten out of the poor new player who looks at those action bars filled with random spells.
Instead of starting on the airship with one spell, and going through the optional initial exercises, you are plonked in the middle of Org with full bars, ready to take your first quest.
Hm. So they’ve deleted the Tutorial for Class Trials.
I know the tutorial had a lot of complaints, and I think most people immediately hearthed out. Maybe they looked at the numbers and decided it was more of an annoyance than a help?
I started a Frost Mage, which I’m pretty familiar with. The choice of positions on the bars wasn’t what I would choose, but it wasn’t crazy.
I was always less than convinced about the benefit of the tutorial, so I’m not terribly worried about its loss for new players.
Still, it’d be interesting to see what the devs say about it.
I also skipped it few times but in other times, it was also a part of immersing myself to certain characters plus it was more convenient to start with almost empty action bars.
The thing is though, that while for me it did not give much insight other than convenient way to place the major abilities firsst to where i want them, it was a good trial for new players who had no idea of what to do. I think it should be as it was and i think its broken now rather than being intentially removed. I do hope it gets back because it was not a big deal to skip it and there are benefits for new players and trying classes before character boost.
You CAN do it fast if you want, it takers litle effort but some of use do find it more entertaining to do the leveling with quests in a slower way. I personally cant stand doing dungeons for 12 hours to level up or do anything repetitive like that. It just kill all trhe enjoyment for me. I need stories and immersion
Usually the class trial is something experienced MMO players will most likely use. New players probably don’t even see the check mark in character creation when playing for first time.
