Class Tuning Incoming – 13 August

Over the first few days of Ghosts of K’aresh content, we’ve been closely monitoring class balance and identifying specializations that are beginning to over- or under-perform in group content and in PvP. With scheduled weekly maintenance in each region, we’ll make the following changes.

Classes

Demon Hunter

  • Havoc
    • All ability damage increased by 5%. Does not apply to PvP combat.

Death Knight

  • Frost
    • Obliterate damage reduced by 5%.
    • Rider of the Apocalypse: Mawsworn Menace now increases the damage of Obliterate by 5% (was 10%).
    • Rider of the Apocalypse: Hollow Sentinel’s Wake 2-piece now increases Trollbane’s Obliterate damage by 15% (was 35%).
    • Deathbringer: Exterminate first scythe damage increased by 10%.

Druid

  • Balance
    • All ability damage increased by 8%.
    • Keeper of the Grove: Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 4-piece now accumulates 3% of damage done (was 2%) and Dryad’s Favor is now capped at 10x spellpower (was 6x) and splashes 15% (was 20%) of its damage onto nearby enemies.
    • Elune’s Chosen: Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 2-piece Starfire damage increase changed to 20% (was 25%), and has a 40% chance (was 50%) to launch a Starsurge at 45% effectiveness (was 50%).
    • Elune’s Chosen: Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 4-piece Split Starsurges deal damage at 40% effectiveness (was 80%).
  • Feral
    • Ferocious Bite and Ravage primary target damage increased by 6%.
    • Shred damage increased by 5%.
    • Sabertooth causes Ferocious Bite to increase damage taken from your bleeds and other periodic effects by 6% per combo point (was 5%).
    • Wildstalker: Bloodseeker Vines damage increased by 5%.
  • Restoration
    • Wildstalker: Fixed a bug causing the Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 4-piece bonus to generate extra Symbiotic Blooms for Regrowths cast by Rampant Growth.
    • Wildstalker: Fixed a bug preventing Twin Sprouts from generating extra Bloodseeker Vines or Symbiotic Blooms from the ones created by the Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 4-piece set bonus.
    • Wildstalker: Symbiotic Bloom and Bursting Growth healing increased by 15%.
    • Wildstalker: Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 2-piece bonus increases the rate of Symbiotic Bloom growth by 45% (was 30%).
    • Wildstalker: Ornaments of the Mother Eagle 4-piece now causes Symbiotic Bloom healing to have a 35% (was 20%) chance to trigger Bursting Growth at 100% effectiveness (was 80%).
    • Developers’ notes: The bug involving Rampant Growth was generating a large number of unintended Symbiotic Blooms, which consolidated a lot of Wildstalker’s healing power into the 4-piece and Clearcasting procs. We’ve added healing power to counteract the healing loss from the bug fix.

Hunter

  • Beast Mastery
    • Tireless Collector’s Bounties - 2-piece chance to fire a free Barbed Shot reduced by 50%.

Mage

  • Frost
    • All damage dealt reduced by 3%. Does not apply to PvP combat.

Monk

  • Brewmaster
    • Shado-Pan: Crash of Fallen Storms 2-piece bonus Flurry Strikes deal 10% increased damage (was 20%).
    • Shado-Pan: Crash of Fallen Storms 4-piece bonus Flurry Charge generation increased by 30% (was 50%).
    • Shado-Pan: Damage dealt by Flurry Strikes from Wisdom of the Wall reduced by 20%.

Shaman

  • Enhancement
    • Lava Lash damage increased by 15%.
    • Windstrike damage increased by 20%.
    • Totemic: Surging Bolt damage increased by 25%.
    • Totemic: Searing Bolt damage increased by 35%.
    • Stormbringer: Awakening Storm damage increased by 35%.
    • Stormstrike damage increased by 10%. Does not affect Windstrike.
    • Elemental Blast damage increased by 8%.
    • Stormbringer: Tempest single target damage increased by 8%.

Warlock

  • Threatening Presence now increases the threat generation of your Voidwalker and Felguard by 950% (was 400%).
  • Affliction
    • Spliced Fiendtrader’s Influence 2-piece set bonus adjusted - Jackpot! chance reduced by 30%.
  • Demonology
    • Wild Imp damage reduced by 20%.
    • Immutable Hatred damage reduced by 30%.
  • Destruction
    • Diabolist: Inquisitor’s Feast of Madness 2-piece has been adjusted – Eye Blast damage reduced by 45%.

Warrior

  • Protection
    • Mountain Thane: Damage dealt by Ionizing Strikes reduced by 30%.

Player versus Player

Death Knight

  • Frost
    • Frost Strike damage reduced by 15% in PvP combat.
  • Unholy
    • Festering Wound damage reduced by 20% in PvP combat.

Druid

  • Feral
    • All damage reduced by 8% in PvP combat.

Mage

  • Arcane
    • Nether Flux now increases the damage an enemy receives from the next targeted spell by 40% (was 100%).
  • Fire
    • Meteor direct damage reduced by 40% in PvP combat.
  • Frost
    • All damage reduced by 10% in PvP.

Paladin

  • Holy
    • All healing reduced by 12% in PvP combat.
    • Divine Plea (PvP talent) duration increased to 30 seconds (was 20 seconds).

Priest

  • Shadow
    • Void Volley damage reduced by 30% in PvP combat.

Rogue

  • Assassination
    • Garrote damage reduced by 15% in PvP combat.

Warlock

  • Demonology
    • All damage reduced by 5% in PvP combat.

  1. Give us back Gorefiend’s Grasp as a baseline talent with a 45 second cooldown across all specs. I’m not asking for much.

  2. Bring back Abomination Limb.

  3. Revert Death Strike back to WoD era.

  4. Put a OG WOTLK frost & unholy gamer on the team and fix the specs

  5. Rework Holy priest

  6. Reset ALL Shadow priest changes back to vanilla wow.

Sincerely a reasonable player who definitely isn’t holding a grudge.

Havoc dh gets no changes again…is this a joke? This spec is far behind any others specs for a decent enough of time and for few chages in a row - zero changes…

Drink some camomile tea, walk around, breath some fresh air other than the sweating ball smell you’re huffing for 14 hours in your room, anything. Then maybe you don’t ask for classes and specs go back to their 20 years ago state.

What on earth can you idenfity from people doing heroic and m0?
Are you nerfing brewmaster and prot warrior to solidify vDH’s place as meta for 5th season?

How long will it take for your team to realize that they botched blood DK with this absolutely horrid rework? People from all corners have been screaming to you that removing Abom Limb, nerfing AMZ and heavily nerfing blood DK’s damage, a spec that was already struggling, without giving them anything in return is a dumb idea, insulting to devoted blood DK players.

And please tell that dellusional developer, George Velev, that increasing AMZ’s cooldown from 2 min to 4, reducing its duration to 6 sec and reducing its mitigation effect from 20% to 15% IS NOT BUFF, IT IS FREAKING NERF, and a huge one!

Or better replace this dunce of a developer with someone smarter, more receptive to feedback and basic critical thinking skills.

What kind of stupid joke is nerfing the lowest dps in the game but buffing the highest dpsers of last half year like retri. Now I really know there is nobody on pulse for pvp, this could not be more wrong. Jesus they could not be more wrong if they are nerfing demo and buffing retri and arms. Literally just look at any site showing the state of last seasons brackets to have any clue if dont care have any people testing things.

Exactly, where even are all the rest of pvp class tuning. Retribution was the most played and one of the highest dmg of last half years and they just senselessly decide buff it more for s3 and then announce nerf some random spec that does the least amount dmg like demo, how in earth does any of it make sense.

On what are these tunings based? Here is last seasons brackets public data if some wishes to see which specs are the most above certain rating and the like and I dont see demo, its retri and arms all the way on every bracket. So why nerf demo and why is retri buffed more for pvp when it already was best. Mind blowing work :exploding_head:

In the latest patch, the Augmentation Evoker was hit with a major nerf — one that wasn’t even mentioned in the patch notes. On the PTR, the class was already struggling to be considered viable, and even then it relied solely on a single hero talent to compete. Now, with this change, that last competitive option is gone.
It’s frustrating to see the class pushed even further down when I had hoped for some positive adjustments instead. I truly hope the development team is aware of the situation and is working on meaningful improvements, because right now it feels disheartening to play.

Blizzard we warriors are tired being the bottom , useless non utility trash that nobody invites to m+ groups. What a joke of a company rly.

What on earth can cause such blatant hate towards a class? Is it because of its lore that dosen’t fit with current California mental illness ? Sounds stupid i know but at this point its ridiculous

No, they got 8% pve buff so now they revert it. Same with mage.

Hunters got 5 weeks consecutive nerfs which dumpstered their dmg bar one caveat:

Mm is currently really strong atm only because of reworked lock n load talent and the previous tiers tier set, which will be replaced/nerfed to the ground soon.

Its week one. Imo there should be zero changes until raid and m+ are out.
