For Ele shaman to catch a 10% single target nerf when they were middle of the pack to begin with is pretty mind-boggling. Sure the burst aoe atm is definitely overtuned (though I think 25+% is quite heavy-handed for a first pass), but without some sort of single-target compensation Elemental is going to be pretty much unplayable in raid.

What about Ret Paladin behing over tune ?
What about outlaw rogue needing to bug exploit to do Sham damage ?
What about the melee range being so poor (BRING BACK ACCROBATIC STRIKE FOR GOD SAKE) ?
What about all the forgotten classes ?
What about the difference in some spec being so huge that the meta prevent non OP classe from even playing ?
Would it be possible to do reasonable tunning on classes and not like uping in godlike mode some spec and beaking them to the group afterwards ?
Would it be possible to listen to the class top player feedback and not just looking at the raid chart on 95th percentile ? I do not know if it is a trainee that work on that but that begin to be ridiculous.

Whoever decided Dark Ranger is overperforming doesn’t know what in the hell they’re talking about because right now on the live servers I’ve tested Dark Ranger MM spec against Sentinel using the exact same single target and AOE talent builds with same gear.

[Quick Sim - Azsharina - 827,116 DPS - Raidbots] Dark Ranger

[Quick Sim - Azsharina - 964,435 DPS - Raidbots] Sentinel

And this is using Trickshots AOE builds for each spec

[Quick Sim - Azsharina - 932,442 DPS - Raidbots] Sentinel

Blizzard nerfing Dark Ranger for literally no reason as the talent update didn’t give us more than a 1,000 DPS uptick compared to last week and it’s still 137,319 dps behind sentinel in single target and 149,099dps behind in multi target. Whoever claimed the spec is overperforming does not play this game and needs removed from balancing classes if this is what they do instead of fixing the list of known bugs for the class that have existed since PTR that they’ve been openly ignoring.

Hey there Blizzard. I don’t understand what the class rework for elemental shaman is all about. Before 11.0.5 in M+ stormbringer had a lot of buttons to press, now is chain, earth shock, earthquake. From 3 to 3 minutes ascendance and that’s it. And just to be sure to equilibrium before ascendance. For real ? Only a few amount of players will be able to take advantage of this, the majority of M+ who pulls 5 mobs a pack, will have an awful time.
Should I mention how much time I’ve spent on my gear and now I almost have to change everything mid season ???
I really hope you make your mind and make this class playable.

Exactly. I am running 10s and 11s now on pugs. Only the known big pulls are done like NW first pull, all the others are 4-5-6 mob packs.
Rarely i get to see those insane burst they are seeing and my dps in most cases is on par, paladins out dps me still, other classes are on par too.
I can say completely honestly the most fun i have is on single target where i burst 3m dps often, but that equalizes in time due to our terrible out of burst damage, and i end up not even first often times.
If this gets even 10% spec will be unplayable, the 2-3 target cleave rotation without burst is terrible, bland and it seems switching to Primal wave-lava totem seems like an ultra must to add some quality of life on these situations.
Whenever have met actual good players we go on par in dps.
Dks have been pulling 10m aoe dps on big packs weeks ago, while doing excellent single target.
I really want to know who they intent to balance with these nerfs cause i dont feel im overdpsing more than i was. Slightly? Maybe. But given the fact i was outdpsed by many classes because of shaman terrible cleave before, things have simply equalized.
I still have terrible cleave, worse out of burst single target than before, but now i have the best burst. Didnt need the change but big numbers= good so ok i guess.
I really struggle to see what they want to do, given how much of the pop plays above what i play now.

I would much rather you bring back the old dark ranger I have no idea why you even reworked it to then nerf it into the ground where its not playable, the rework wasnt even fun regardless fishing for rng procs, just revert the rework and tune it.

Visually and gamewise prepatch Dark Ranger was bland and boring, at least in pve. It had a niche role of being viable ST spec because of crappy Sentinel Lunar storm mechanic.

The rework was widely welcome, the problem is that they totally messed up tuning, making it weak and unviable not only in AoE like old spec, but also in ST.

Sure Arcane mages needed a nerf, but it would be enought by nerfing Sunfury… deleting Arcane by nerfing both Arcane Blast + Barrage (by 10%!)… way to go…
And buffing Balance druid even more, nice handling spec balances…

It feels like Blizzard is flailing wildly with all these changes, in the hope that something hits the mark.
But right now it doesn’t feel like they know what they are doing. The game balance must be way off when they feel they need all these massive buffs and nerfs all the time.

On the 23rd Blizzard nerfed Lightning Rod by 50% and announced a fix for a bug with ascendance.
Lightning Rod contributed roughly 5-7% to our damage, making this a ~3% nerf.

The Ascendance bug is still active in-game. A conservative estimate puts this at 7% in pure damage and 2% in resource generation.

Balancing on reset

Arc Discharge to 1 stack: roughly 1.8% nerf
Echo Chamber halved: roughly 4.5%

Asc change: 3.75% nerf after adjusting for the Echo Chamber nerf
Preeminence: Ignoring all haste caps it comes out as 0.7% nerf

TLDR:

When you log in on Tuesday/Wednesday, your character will be at least 10% weaker.
If Blizzard actually fixes the Asc bug, your character will be 19% weaker.

What about second breakfast LR nerf?

This is a weird one. When looking at logs, LR was doing less and more than the intended 10% in a lot of cases.
The logs I looked at had it at about 11-12% of the amount of Lightning damage, so this came out as roughly a 1.5% nerf.

So adding all of those adjustments and fixes puts us at a 24% Single Target nerf roughly, since release

From shaman discord. Ty blizzard for nerfing our ST dmg by 24% because our AoE was bugged and doing more dmg then it should be.

Fix bugs before you nerf.

Ok so mistweaver m+ nerf. Because healing, or rather fistweaving as a C-tier class this season is so easy and comparable to a resto shaman output. /sarcasm.

Blizz can you please delay and do more testing on Dark Ranger? The numbers dont match what your saying. Can you just delay and recheck your findings NOONE agrees with the changes

you mean in Single target the Bottom of the DPS Meter is the 10th out of 26 DPS Speccs? For Heroic

Or 3rd Place for Normal
