Class Tuning Incoming - March 5

Hi Blizzard. I see that we are doing last minute changes. Please don’t implement the enhance season 2 4set nerfs. Totemic raid build doesnt want to take Crash lightning already. Yet you are nerfing every number on the 4 set. Please revert those nerfs.

Thanks Kindly.

Could we maybe get an Dev note on Hunter ? Cause this is a bit confusing. You dont talk about the rework, you just buff and nerf hunters left and right. Was they too good? Cause by seeing numbers there are alot of classes out preforming hunters by a mile.

MM is also more a caster spec than Mage is, but mage still gets the meta treatment for what?

Im not mad, just upset

Damn man now i feel old

Is this real for warrior arms i cant belive ……like that ion director should be fired its the worst decision the game could have

Can we please stop nerfing BM hunters? Revert this, please. I just want to enjoy a fun spec and be good for a season.

Revert what? You literally got another buff 2 hours ago and you’re still complaining.

Not surprising though since complaining and BM go hand in hand.

Good god 3 button spec, always does good damage and you still find a way to whinge about it.

My friend, the “buff” you saw 2h ago wasn’t an additional buff, it was a change to a previous patch note where the devs nerfed the tier set massively and compensated with a 10% overall buff. That was reverted to only being a 5% buff that you saw above. This results in a net nothing change and in the past few weeks this spec was only nerfed, leaving it completely mid.

Misread but even still you’re mid, SO WHAT? Mid is good.

Whinging about being mid :joy: Good lord…

Wow then you Nerf Bm hunters again, again and again.
How can you hate the game you make so much, are you trying to make more ppl not play your game?
Ware are the mage Nerfs?
Why ?
Again why?
WHY?

Why are we so fixated on nerfing Bm hunters and doing so quick?
Like last time bm was decent was doing rework of dark rangers, but then again omg they do less than meta comp S-tier in raid but apperently 2 close. And instant nerf…
I dont know whats going on with the fixation, like is there a competition to see how quick we can make bm bad and not viable?.
Hunter is one of the most played classes, please for once try to kill meta comp and bring something new in. Fmage atm, boomie, vdh, sp and ele sham where is the nerf?
but yea, once again its just hunters trying to be fine and viable but then gets instant killed. -,- Do better man

Not being S tier is not viable?

Cmon folks… Get real.

Guess ranged Hunters are forced to play MM in M+ this season.

BM AOE was already dumpster tier (except against 10+ enemies which rarely happens) and with the 5% nerf now BM’s ST damage will take a significant dive and not be much better than SV and MM.

Literally no reason to play BM, except for the ease of play.

Time to go look at the new game Fellowship after the BM nerfs I just can’t take it.
Blizzard doesn’t care about any form of balance, Shame on you.

So… raid hasn’t started, M+ season 2 hasn’t started and neither have delves. Barely anyone is doing anything except run around in Undermine soooo where is this supposed data coming from?

Updated the OP with–

Druid

  • Reverted:
  • Lycara’s Meditation does not retain the bonus from your last shapeshift form if you enter and then leave caster form.
  • Updated Lycara’s Meditation: Players must remain in a shapeshift form for 2.9 seconds, modified by Haste, in order to retain the Lycara’s Teachings bonus from it. The ability description string will be updated in a future patch.

I have an update on this change:

We have been working on making changes to Lycara’s Meditation to prevent unintended gameplay for Feral Druids where it is optimal to frequently enter either Moonkin or Bear Form during downtime in their rotation. We don’t want to reduce the Versatility bonus in Bear Form like we did the Mastery bonus from Moonkin Form because it’s a valuable survivability perk. However, the unintended rotation is still optimal with the above change.

We are working on a hotfix to undo the above change and add a requirement to stay in any shapeshift form for a short time before its bonus can be retained with Lycara’s Meditation:

Druid

  • Lycara’s Meditation: Players must remain in a shapeshift form for 2.9 seconds, modified by Haste, in order to retain the Lycara’s Teachings bonus from it. The ability description string will be updated in a future patch.
  • This changed has been reverted: "Lycara’s Meditation does not retain the bonus from your last shapeshift form if you enter and then leave caster form.

The duration was chosen so that if you spend a GCD entering a form, perform an action (2 actions in the case of Cat Form because of their shorter GCD), then leave the form, you will retain the bonus.

Because these changes are being made so close to the start of Season 2, they may not be applied at the same time as other tuning changes, but they will go live as soon as possible.

From the ptr.

They said that their internal testing is several patches ahead of ptr, so they have a backlog of changes that they did not have time to push into ptr, and pushed them back for next patch.

The data is the same thing. They had it in the ptr, and because it was more important to get the patch out, they moved the tuning for later in the week. Well, now they announced the tuning, but it is still based on the ptr numbers they had for the past months.

You’re only releasing unnecessary tunings. You have no idea about class simulations. Specs like Survival Hunter, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Outlaw Rogue, Arcane Mage and Fury Warrior are in an unplayably bad state. Seeing same meta classes every expansion and every season is extremely boring. A season with no balance has already ended and now we’re going to play the same all over again. Of course there should be a meta but gap between classes shouldn’t be this huge.
