Class using a Shield

Hi guys, hi Blizzard

I want to talk here cause i saw a change that I find bad, really bad!
A change was made to certain spells that did not put away the shield but now do, which means that for 1 second you no longer block this spell in paladin: consecration, hammer of righteous, exorcism and judgment.

pls tell me why do this i see that on the discord paladin :

On some animations causing shield sheathing Some animations momentarily sheathe your shield, preventing blocks for the next ~1 sec. This has always been the case; however, Zirene has confirmed that in Phase 8 some animations which did not previously cause sheathing are now causing it. This may explain why some are experiencing difficulty during solo farming. If you have a large number of mobs attacking you and are relying on T2 4PC, sheathing your shield will result in a large burst of incoming damage. All spells besides shocks currently appear to be sheathing animations, including instant MSW casts. Drinking potions is another, and there may be more. Suggested workarounds:

  • When tanking large numbers of mobs, avoid sheathing animations such as non-shock spells.
  • Spam right click a mob when doing a sheathing animation.

Reasoning: Right click is the Interact with Target command, which unsheathes, but it cannot be macrod.

  • Manually unsheathe (Default Z) or press a binded Interact with Target or Attack Target command immediately after a sheathing animation.

Reasoning: Interact with Target and Attack Target both unsheathe, but neither can be macrod. /startattack does not unsheathe.

why do that? I don’t understand why they made such a big nerf by adding the fact that the shield is put away when you use no spell, it’s completely stupid. I see it as a huge nerf for raids or solo famring or DJs
