Do you need full int/spirit gear to heal up dungeons 12till60? I did it before but i cant remember. Not sure if i want to level as ele, maybe after 40. But i wanna team up with friends and heal them. When they are not online i want to manage myself aswell
And someone who knows how viable resto shaman is in endgame vanilla? both PVP and PVE
Your mana will be limited by your intellect, unlike now. So in like 4-5 heal cast you will be oom. However, vanilla dungeons (specially leveling ones up to sm are easy. You might pull that off as enhancement if your friends are well players and you drink often and also its more about team composition. But if you keep your healing gear in your bags and use it in dungeons. You can easily heal with enhancement spec. However, bag management is an issue in vanilla so im not sure about that.
For end game. Spirit was ofc important for all healers. Your mana regen kicks in 5 seconds after your last mana spending cast and it scales with spirit. I remember having healing rotation in bwl. We just stood there meleeing boss, regennin’ mana while other grp healed. Since fight was long…
And resto viable? Ofc. Even if you heal half of a priest, everyone will want windfury totem. Elemental goes oom quickly and enhancement has bad dps. So when they say they want windfury totem, they will mean restoration shaman. In terms of heal per second, shamans are at bottom with druids but tools it provides are impossible to just pass.
Totems buff party wide so at least every melee dps group will want 1 shaman in their grp.
As Enhancer you would need a secondary gear-set with int which could be difficult to do while leveling. As a full healer you would skill part of the elemental tree anyway, during leveling you just do that first, so you are an elemental shaman that is healing, strictly speaking.
Most healers level in dps-spec and “off-heal”, you spec to full 31 healing only for raids (possibly including ubrs with 58+).
