Greetings, Blizzard has recently updated the new interface for the Classic Era PTR, which is intended to test the new interface for the WoW Season of Discovery. Here are the details:
Default UI Adjustments:
- Enemy cast bars can now be enabled in the default UI in the Options menu under Interface.
- Damage over time abilities and other debuffs will now display their remaining duration on the default enemy unit frame.
The reason this was implemented is that Blizzard no longer wants addons that allow tracking enemy casts, meaning they want their internal “addon.” In connection with this,
I would like to appeal for the inclusion of the player cast bar as well; otherwise, it won’t make sense. All those who use an addon to track enemy casts simultaneously want to monitor their own cast bar. Without introducing a player cast bar, they won’t achieve what they intended.
I don’t know if this is an intentional or accidental oversight; I just want to appeal to you on behalf of a large number of players discussing this issue.
