I have this character on Classic Hardcore and when I use her as forum avatar, a generic W is shown instead of female human character. I see other players using Hardcore characters on the forums have the same problem.
I think this is probably correct behaviour. Classic / WLK Classic toons don’t show up in the Armory and I would imagine this is where the Avatar icons are pulled from.
No, it is not the correct behavior. This is my WOTLK Classic character and its avatar is shown the way it should.
And this is my Classic Era character also avatar showing the way it should. The problem is only with Classic Hardcore characters.
they dont show because you will be deleted soon anyway.
How do you know when I will be deleted?
Aha i love sc players always flaming hc players. Same in every game. As soon as you play hc some sc players will come and start provocations.
« You will die soon » « no point » and such.

I suspect forum Avatars are created using part of the Armory’s API and Blizzard have not updated it yet to support Classic HC characters. They are usually a bit behind when it comes to updating the Armory’s API.
But Classic Era characters are supported and I thought Hardcore is just another realm in WOW Classic and what works for Era should work for Hardcore.
It’s likely more complicated than that as there are many differances between Classic Era and HC. The API does not just do Avatars but so much more and the code would likley need to be updated to support those differances in HC.
When Classic was first introduced it had the same issue with forum Avatars.
Should show a big ‘L’ not a ‘W’ tbh. 
If avatars are not fixed, I still prefer “W” tbh.
i dont know when,but you will,also just because you prefer something doesnt mean it has to happen.or anyone cares about it.

When I will be deleted I can create the same character again. It’s not only me, other Hardcore players also want to see their avatars.
