classic players didn’t make a big deal out of the ‘race to 60’ retail wonks with their awful brains pretending that a game that had all world firsts claimed 15 years ago needed another big event pretending that this is another set of world firsts was the big problem here
if it wasn’t for the biggest retail dumbasses making a big bruha about ‘world firsts’ we wouldn’t be seeing this kind of absolutely godawful rat race that’s gonna result in a lot of people burning out on the game, people just grinding SM until they hit 45+ is really depressing to watch, I doubt these players are getting a lot of enjoyment from the game but hey it’s how RETAIL PLAYERS have been PLAYING THE GAME since a VERY LONG TIME so between classic players and retail players being really boring I’m gonna go with retail players making the classic community look bad with their awful ideas on efficiently lvling which btw they lost in the end anyway cause they’re genuinely that far up their own rear.

To be fair, lots of the private server community are speed levellers/world “first” enthusiasts. I get you, though.

it’s only about .5% of the pserver players that actually care my dude stop pretending it’s all of us
I can´t see many people racing to 60. Probably because they are in high level zones
I guess everyone should play the game the way they want. Sometimes I meet people declining invitations so we have to compete to kill mobs instead of cooperating. But most people are ok and happily group together. I think the queues are also the problem here - if you waited several hours and only get to game at 10 PM, you don´t want to spend this hour or two just talking…
Do you have the stats for that? you don’t, so it’s all guess work. Point is, it’s not just retail players responsible for it. It’s gamers in general, 2019. They obsess over it on other games too, even Old School Runescape.
even on pservers the amount of people that were dumb enough to think what they were doing with broken mechanics was setting world records, only a few people cared enough to make a big deal out of it then I think it’ll be the same people who make a big deal out of it now, in the end tho everyone can clear naxx so the only thing most of these people care about is speedrunning raids and that’s the real competition now not whoever gets it first that’s literally been done 15 years ago
because horde lives on the edge! Literally your flight masters often are somewhere high.
I get buffed all the time and i buff others all the time or give them a regrowth when i pass by them when they are farming. So i dont feel this at all. I played with more randoms now that ever before. I think OP is not being honest or is a bit anti-social himself.
no, pretty sure that’s just you buddy, gaming is a multibillion dollar industry with millions and millions of fans and even then only a bout 10k people at most care, stop pretending your wonk nerd brain is in any way similar to normal people cause it ain’t.
Some people even chase me to return the favor when I buff them lol.
You must be playing a different game than me. I played yesterday evening and people helped often spontaneously group up for quests, either because of difficulty, or simply we’re too many for the spawn rate. People are the same, sure, but the circumstances are different and are making people interact more, at least on my server.
But then again you’re alliance so your people may just be different.
classic is not antisocial, the opposite.
people are antisocial.
Same for me and to be frank i am thinking same about OP. It just doesn’t sound like at all what i been experiencing in game. And just to clarify, i was NOT complaining about groupping but telling my own experience (how different it is to OPs description) about how much people invite to groups. As opposite what OP was saying. I honestly got no idea how is it possible OP is not finding groups, when groups are finding me where ever i go.
Pretty much the same here
Shut up. Just because your opinion of a few people racing to 60 somehow negatively affects your game, don’t come on to the forum and assume that literally everyone feels the same as you do. You are in the sheer minority. If it is so ‘Unsociable’ go to play retail and see how much socializing goes on there.
While I’ve seen evidence of the contrary and thus, see this as a non-issue, some people simply don’t want to be social, people aren’t the same as they were back then, it’s not a bad thing.
Find the people that do and group up with them, leave the rest to their own devices.
Its you, not the game.
Communication happens at all levels, everywhere.
OP must be playing on a rather nasty server then, because my experience has been the polar opposite… On the RP server, there is plenty of grouping going on, people buff each other and hand out items for free, chat is vibrant (and Barrens chat is, well, Barrens chat), random roleplay and even some PvP occurs… Even in the morning, on the lowest populated server. I haven’t done an instance yet out of choice, but I may look into that tomorrow.
My experience is the exact opposite of yours. Chilling hard with the game and I’ve already added 20-30 people to my friend list that I chat with all the time. Whenever we’re near each other we’ll group up and have fun, and even if we aren’t, we’ll invite each other to dungeon runs and stuff or just chat in whisper.
I group up with people everywhere I go to do quests, and finding people who want to group up isn’t hard at all.
I’m having a lovely and very social experience.
I could not agree more. From my experience, the only groups of people doing quests together, and dungeons, consist of IRL friends speeding to 60. Very, very disappointed with the community so far.
