Classic TBC on a Macbook?

Will I be able to play Classic TBC if I have a Macbook?

And especially, will it work for the new Macbook Air M1?

I read on applesilicongames that the TBC private server Atlantiss does not work for the new Macbook Air M1.

Now I know it could be different with real Classic TBC servers, but I just wanted to be 100% sure it works, if I’m going to buy the new M1 Macbook Air. Would love to hear from a Game Master.

Would also like to hear if it works for older Macbooks.

Just note that private servers use old clients from back then while Classic uses modern clients and modern support for OS and hardware. For official info you would have to wait till Blizzard announcement.
