Classic timewalking needs to be tuned down

Title. The dungeons right now are way too overtuned where mobs hit too hard and have too many stuns or silences. The scaling has always been wonky but this is next level wonky, the scaling isn’t working properly. Most retail players already are lost in these dungeons that are 20 years old (lol) but on top of that as a tank this feels like I am doing mythic with the worst players imaginable buttpulling gargoyles and banshees left and right, doing poor damage or poor healing.

I don’t play this game to constantly feel like I am a kindergarten teacher. I will go play mythic for that, not casual anniversary content. Please note this is about dungeons and not about BRD.

So it’s Strat. Well, it was mainly done using CCs back in da day…

Not only. The protectors for example in DM hit very hard and in general these dungeons have a lot of CC chains. I.e goblins in Dead mines

It’s unplayable. I am trying to level my resto shaman and at 75 I heal for nothing. If the tank actually takes damage its over. Somehow Blizzard makes timewalking worse each week.

At lvl 80 its fine. I did the weekly quest earlier as a disc priest and the tuning felt perfect. We had no problems anywhere despite the odd interesting pull.

Yeah healers don’t heal me for anything. Sometimes the scaling is funny and i take 0 damage but now I was put into a 4-man premade of 80s and suddenly 1 pack almost 1 shots me. The scaling is broken but its just made way worse by all the CC.

Cuz sometimes its fine and other times it is not. I have no idea how it calculates the scaling but its hit or miss. Like sure I bet I can go on my main at 80 with mythic gear and solo everything no problem but most people use it for leveling.

Leveled from 70 to 80 on 2 toons, was blast. Tanks are pulling everything to the boss, aoe, boss, repeat and that’s it. At 80 it’s even easier.

A lot of people wanted M+ to be changed to the “good old days” when we needed to go pack by pack, sheeping and saping half the stuff…

Now we got it !

So there. Enjoy !

Are you max level doing them? As they are easy DPS can solo elites and as a tank I didn’t need to use any CD’s

Timewalking now scales to your level, so gear matters. If you’re low ilvl for your level you can try buying some gear from the TW vendor.

I was leveling my DK tonight who was in all greens. Didn’t have any real issue apart from DPS pulling aggro but not even they died.

As lvl 80, it feels totally fine tho, we did a full group of lvl 80, was able to pull almost the entire dungeon, easy.

But sorry to hear the lvl 30-79 experience isn’t fun.

As people have already stated, at level 80 its completely fine. I did the 5 timewalking dungeons on my mistweaver, who is currently pretty low geared. There was no struggle with healing at all and the party was at full health most of the time, even when we were pulling half the dungeon.

It depends on ilvl. I took a level 70 with full prepatch gear and he just destroyed everything. Naturally since it’s scaling he gets relatively weaker every level, but I’ve yet to reach a point where I feel like I’m struggling.

Make sure you are around level 30 or so.

The scaling is whack the higher level you go

You’re supposed to run it as lvl 10 MW twink (lvl 30 for the raid). Why would you run them as lvl 80? That’s just stupid.

I did Deadmines and Dire Maul at 80 yesterday and it was an AoE fest, almost like WotLK heroics back in the day (pull whole room and quickly AoE kill everything). Must be a scaling issue.

yesterday zulfarrak was a faceroll. embarassing.

…i soloed the dungeons yesterday as ret for the group.

Well one group didn’t like the, didn’t say anything and just kicked me out of the dungeon.

That’s a nice thank you for carrying their bottocks though this stuff.

I have ben living the dream of going through stratholme and destroying on my main ret paladin one shots have been working just fine ok!
