Classic timewalking when?

I mean, first and foremost - TW is a JOKE difficulty wise. Raid bosses with pugs of total randos take below 1 minute to kill. TW dungeons of any expac take like 4-5 mins tops and the time is only limited by how fast you can run in the dungeon because bosses die below 20 sec or so.

So, this being said - why no classic TW? The “too easy” argument doesn’t work because in TW everything is so easy it hurts my brain.
“Dungeons are Too long” Well, adjust XP reward appropriately for that event and make the weekly reward for 2 not 5 dungeons, problem solved.

I mean, I’d like to revisit classic dungeons sometimes - I don’t level alts every 2 weeks to do so and I don’t play classic.
Also - they once did this molten core anniversary raid so they even have a raid prepared for that

i dont know. Its a joke for geared 70s sure but have you tried being a healer or tank in their 30s? Some tanks especially leather tanks for some reason gets completly wrecked and me trying to heal other leveling tanks while im in my 30s myself well lets just pray the tank takes one pack at a time

yea its so weird even leveling warriors barely take any damage compared to the leather tanks. Druids arent that bad but man oh man monks and DHs gets carved up good. Just my experience and i healed from 30-70 on a few perhaps other healers have different experiences

To be honest , I don’t know much about how Druid / Monk tanks fare nowadays, I used to play brewmaster and it was … different even during BfA time - literally drink to survive , where as Prot pala and Blood DK are just unstoppable.

Druid though , I thought they are unkillable ? At least in M+ content that I have seen so far

no im just talking about leveling characters in TW everything is probably completly different at max level but this was outland week now its legion, we shall see. Only done court of stars and black rook. in court of stars with a bunch of levelers like myself and the trash completly destroyed people then in black rook with some geared 70 and its like she said, a joke.

I hear these crazy suggestions of making TW harder like could you not pls? Lets not kid ourselfs that 70s doesnt just wanna get it done as fast as possible and levelers just want fast xp as to wich i say its not some kind of joke with only levelers in the group

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s leveling tanks lacking critical talents or just not being that good at their role. Leather tanks are more reliant on active mitigation. DH has to maintain soul shards to consume, use demon spikes correctly and use cooldowns to stay alive. A paladin just spams Shield of the Righteous and maintains Consecration which keeps their defenses high and uses Word of Glory if their health dips too low.

It is because some of the mobs in TBC dungeons have attacks that are hard hitting and you cannot dodge them. That combined with the stuns they do means that one big mitigation tool of these tanks, dodge or parry, is kind of useless.

I went through my 5 dungeons yesterday, and outside of two specific dungeons (I think it is hellfire rampart and another one) I got my stagger bar to go into red, and my HP tanked to like 50% in a matter of seconds. It is managable, but an inexperienced tank or even healer can get caught out by this.

It used to be the same in Dire Maul and other classic dungeons if you had a druid or monk tank, not sure if that is still the case now.

Classic TW needs to happen. Even if not all dungeons are compatible with the modern format, there are so many that they can easily find 6 that work just fine.

I have been hoping for this since TW came out as a feature, and one major reason for me is to finally see my Sulfuras in action.

But I recall them commenting on that, though a very long time ago during some Q&A session. And essentially they said classic dungeons aren’t suitable for timewalking as its bosses have next to no abilities and it would supposedly be boring; and instead of tuning them for timewalking they prefer overhualing classic dungeons completely over time with new expansions (e.g. Scholomance, Scarlet Monastery, and now Uldaman).

yeah and killing a boss in 7-12 seconds, before he uses its mechanic, is supposedly fun and not boring?

I enjoy TW as a way to level demon alts to 70 without repeating boring quests but nothing more than that lol. I wish I could “see” classic dungeons in action again as a leisurely run. Devs, do it, do it, do it.
