I’ve been getting regular instances of this on flight paths. It usually just drops me in the air at the transition of two zones, meaning I either have to run a long distance for a new FP or just burn my HS. Also had an issue where i get to my destination and the bird just hovers there at the stop and doesn’t drop me off.
I have tried a repair on the game files and turned off as many addons as I can. Are there any other things I could do?
Turning them off is usually not enough, even if disabled they may get loaded. So you’ll have to test the game while they’re moved elsewhere.

Same thing is happening to me, all the time. Game is basically unplayable when it starts to happen.
Blizzard are no help at all, all they say is “turn off addons”, even though I don’t have any and it’s a clean install.

I was playing full day with no issues, turned off laptop and went to sleep
In the morning turned on laptop and turned on wow and it doesn’t work, nothing changed software wise, how suddenly addons are causing problems? Addons and uireset is just excuse to buy some time to fix the main problem. I’m watching support forums everyday and 90% of cases moderators and mvps are copy/paste ui reset feature which is not working in 90% of cases. No need to be ashamed to not know something, just don’t throw that “ui reset” left and right.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re receiving the “Transfer Aborted: Instance not found” error, I know that this can be very frustrating, but thank you for your patience. Please understand that we want you to be able to play without issues like this, just as much as you do.
To build on what Saneko mentioned regarding the Interface Reset, World of Warcraft can be considered to be built on quite a number of systems that all come together to provide the in-world game experience we all know and love. Sometimes however some of these systems can fail to work correctly and we get errors, disconnects or crashes.
In terms of the “Transfer Aborted…” error, this can happen if something prevents a zone transition from completing successfully, now, when your character transitions between zones, a lot of those systems are reloaded, your World Map updates, as does your quest log, any zone wide auras or buffs are removed or applied, the chat channels change etc. and as you may know, Addons can interact with any element here, and if one system doesn’t transition correctly, the “Transfer” can fail, causing this error.
This is why an Interface Reset is more or less always the first thing that is suggested for any issue. We’re not trying to dodge anything, but in terms of troubleshooting we will always want to make sure that we are working with the “Base” game client and rule out any possibility that the reported issue is caused by an out of date, conflicting or corrupt Addon.
Please can I ask that anyone experiencing this issue does try doing a full Interface Reset first.
If that doesn’t help, please then check that you have all appropriate Firewall and Router Ports configured correctly.
Then, if you have any Proxy or VPN applications or settings enabled, please disable these, and test the game using a standard connection.
Finally, if the problems continue after checking all of the above, please can you complete the rest of our Connection Troubleshooting guide, including the Advanced Troubleshooting, and World of Warcraft sections.

This is so frustrating because this issue is popping up randomly, and randomly goes off without any ingerention, literally doing nothing, but waiting solved this for me. I’m not changing, adding, removing any addons, connection works perfectly fine, i’m watching netflix all the time while playing. I just gave up to change instance, and after a while i can do it with no problem.
Edit: IF World of Warcraft is running on many systems, can i assume that some systems are on different servers? it would explain why some features are so laggy sometimes, while some work perfectly fine.

So it’s still happening.
It’s also now doing it where, if we’re in the same location, but a different layer, and invite the other person to a group, it’ll sit there for a minute or two, then they’ll automatically leave the group with the same error, “Instance not found: Transfer Aborted”

Here’s what we’ve tried so far:
Release/renew IP in an elevated command prompt. (also flushed DNS)
Restart PC’s/Router etc.
Re-installed the game and launcher COMPLETELY without ANY add-ons
Run the game and launcher as Administrator.
Run the game as Administrator directly from the installation folder.
Updated network card drivers
(windows is always automatically updated)
Another note: My PC is used for WoW only. Aside from Discord, which I rarely use, and DOESN’T automatically run when windows starts, there is NOTHING else on this PC to interfere with anything.
It’s turning an awesome game into a nightmare! I’m pretty close to quitting because there’s too much downtime involved with corpse-running back because I’ve been dropped from a taxi at great height, or because I’ve got a 10 minute run back to the nearest taxi.

I Hate using caps but, THIS IS STILL HAPPENING!!!
Tonight, the game is not even playable. I cannot zone anywhere.
Now, which I’m certain is related, I cannot even log into the server! After several minutes on the loading screen, I get “World server is down”, even though other people in my household, using THE SAME router and connection, can play fine tonight.
BEFORE you ask me to do a full ui reset, I HAVE!
I have even reinstalled the entire game, TWICE!
NO addons, NO other programs working in the background, up to date drivers, up to date Windows.
I’ve done the WinMTR thing with zero errors.
I’ve tried running as Administrator. I’ve relesed/renewed my ip and flushed my DNS multiple times.
AGAIN, the game runs fine on other people’s pc’s on THE SAME router/connection, yet it happens all the time on my pc, and sometimes on my partner’s pc.
I’ve tried everything! It’s CLEARLY a layering issue.
PLEASE RESPOND WITH SOMETHING THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO PLAY.

i’ve been having this issue on EVERY flight path ive taken since classic released… ive lost idk how much money from the flight not being complete and died countless times also

i am having the exact same issue, also reinstalled the complete game - as a matter of fact i did a complete fresh windows instal and it still gives the instance not found error when flying. 
Hey Adustriel, this thread is quite old and might be a symptom of something happening back in September. Try the steps in the connection troubleshooting guide and if that doesn’t work, open a new thread in the technical support section and we’ll be happy to take a look.
