[Classic WoW] Screen flashes black randomly for a fraction of a second

This only happens with Classic WoW specifically, not any other game. I only installed it on my computer recently and even did a repair and reset my in-game settings, so it’s not caused by anything like that.

The problem
When I’m playing Classic WoW, I notice my game flash black for a fraction of a second. It doesn’t disrupt gameplay since it happens so quickly, but it’s still pretty annoying when it happens.

My main monitor is a 165Hz GSYNC monitor while my second monitor is a 75Hz one without GSYNC. I have DirectX 12 enabled in my WoW settings.

Anyone else get this problem?

In general, flickering like that is down to the framerate syncing between the game and your monitor not quite working properly. Usually that’s due to outdated drivers, so I’d suggest updating those.

It would also be worth tweaking v-sync and refresh rate settings in the game to see if that helps, as we aren’t aware of any issues with the game itself causing flickering.
