I joined a lvl 80 cloth farm in one of the new tww zones, everyone except me was getting loads of cloth, from every mob, but I got not a single piece. Is there a pre-requisite for this to drop? Is it like it will only drop if you got tailoring or something?
I asked the group but no one responded, and I was kicked after 10 minutes. I suspect they were botting and reported the guy who created the group.
I noticed the same thing, maybe it only drops for tailors now?
I have leveled 4 chars to 80 so far, not had a single piece of cloth, none of them were tailors, they had skinning/leather, alchemy/inscription, blacksmith/engineer, herb/mining. So maybe it’s tailoring only now.
It is indeed tailoring only, and also affected a lot by specialization. It gets much more lucrative after you’ve invested some points in it. Hopefully that will benefit characters that are actually played properly rather than just having the cloth market be dominated by multiboxers and bots again.
Only dropping for tailors is a good move imo. I agree. It makes tailoring more attractive to take now.
Okay that’s what I thought. Very lame imo. Not alt-friendly at all, like they’ve been talking about. I save all cloth to send to my mage alt that has tailoring.

People always moan a lot of professions are worthless - this is a positive move to make tailoring less so.
Idd it only drops for tailors and not anymore for anyone that hasnt got tailoring.

Every char I have encountered that has looted cloth has been a tailor themselves. And anyone getting large amounts has intelligently spent their specialization points to bolster that gatering rate, so as to gather more so as to be able to sell it to all the people whining about not being able to craft epics yet.
Imo a good change, cloth looting specialization finally makes sense again, and overall it helps make tailoring a semi-viable profession again, both as a crafter and a gatherer.
