I’m reopening this thread since the previous one was closed. There’s already a thread open in the US bug report forum, but I’m unable to post there because my account is European — so I’m opening one here.
Currently, for a minority of users, when the shaman’s Cloudburst Totem is used — or when playing a mistweaver monk with a specific spell I honestly don’t know the name of — the game experiences stuttering with every incoming heal. According to the US thread, healing monks also seem to be affected, likely because they use a similar mechanic that stores healing before releasing it.
While this may be barely noticeable on a training dummy, in M+ or Raid content it creates a situation where the game becomes unplayable.
SINCE AUGUST, THE MEGATHREAD HAS BEEN OPEN ON THE US FORUM AND BLIZZARD HAS IGNORED IT.
Many of us are unable to play our class, or have been forced to reroll, because the totem is part of the shaman’s rotation — it’s a strong and essential spell. We pay for the box, we pay for the subscription, but when it comes to getting support for something we’ve paid for, Blizzard disappears.
What’s even more unacceptable is that when opening a ticket, support just washes its hands of the issue, closes the ticket without giving you a chance to reply, and tells you to post on the forum — where you’ll be ignored along with many other users, while they laugh all the way to the bank.
Maybe the fault is ours too, for trusting a publisher that takes advantage of the fact that its audience is made up of whales, fanboys, and kids.
Forgive the rant, but I’m fed up. I’ve spent time and energy (and for an adult, time isn’t a currency that’s easy to spare amid daily responsibilities) building my character, convinced the issue would be fixed promptly — and now I’m faced with having to start over, or worse, switch to Final Fantasy XIV.
I hope you’ll step up and do your job. This is not how you treat paying customers.
