So, even though it’s irrelevant, I do want to say that I work in IT and did my best to get to the root cause of my issues.
My game crashes every 5 to 10 minutes. This started to happen a month ago, didn’t have much time to troubleshoot, but did my best this week to get more information about it. When it crashes, my screen (only WOW) freezes, and unless I click a few times, it remains frozen forever. Upon clicking a few times, I get the typical Windows circular cursor, and then the popup indicating that the application doesn’t respond. I close it, click Play in Battle.net again, and I’m good to for a few minutes. I think, but it’s not rock solid, that I get less crashes the longer I play. Every 5-10 minutes the first hour, then less frequent …
I tried:
- Updating all drivers
- Moving my Cache, Interface and WTF folders
- Reinstalling and playing without addons
- Lowering graphical settings, playing with DirectX 11 and 12, …
- Reinstalling the game on the second SSD in the laptop (both are the same type, however)
Nothing helped so far. Since no other games crash, I don’t know where to continue looking right now.
My hardware:
Lenovo Legion laptop, AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, 32GB RAM, RTX 3070 Ti, Windows 11 23H2 Home.
Any tips? What can I try?
Thank you…
