Hi all.
On October 30, I sent 3 COD emails full of Adamantite Ore (ie. 720 pcs) to buyer on my server. However, the payment never came and the player later claimed his account has been hacked and his ingame mail and chat been suspended and his mailbox is completely empty. Those COD emails never returned to me either.
Weird thing is, I cannot see the emails in recover mail service. Like I didn’t send it at all. As Adamantite Ore isn’t the cheapest material on my server, I would like someone to help me resolve the problem. I can provide details (characters’ name, server) of course.
is there a chance u messed up and didnt send cod? otherwise good luck getting blizz to give it back to you, i expect 5-10 tickets till you get a comptetent human that will help you
COD mails are a shorter duration than normal mails, it’s 3 days I think.
Two things can happen with COD mails, they get the items removed and you get the gold or they are returned. On the other hand if they weren’t sent COD the OP has lost all their ore.
All the OP can do is open a ticket and request their return or ask what happened to them.
Edit: I highlighted request because if they start demanding stuff the GM might get antsy and just say no.
Yes, I’m pretty sure I sent COD. What crossed my mind is the buyer’s character was hacked, deleted and then restored and content of his mailbox disappeared during the process. Is that possible?
It is much more likely that you either forgot to check the cod option or forgot to specify the cod amount, than it is that the buyer got hacked. The only times I have heard stories about people getting “hacked” in classic is when there is a scam/trade deal gone wrong involved…
