Coin of the Isles

Am I doing something wrong?

I decided to try go for the Otto mount, and I’ve never fished before. I got my dragonflight fishing to 100, fished up 500 things and I’ve got 1 copper coin…

I’ve mainly fished schools of fish, and also tried open water. How long do people grind this for usually?

They are rare AF from fishing, it’s the worst method to get them from.

The best activity for coins is lunker fushing, but there’s a problem - you need a large group to be efficient. I personally got the majority from the Tuskarr tackleboxes, it’s still quite a grind, but much better than fishing.

I fished up a gold coin from a lava pool and got the glasses with that.

I get most copper coins from ice pools but also lost tuskarr fishing boxes but you need to spend some time on a good route and open loads of them.

I followed the guide on Wowhead, think it took me about 3 hours in total to get the mount.

I did it in one evening, it’s just tedious the fishing parts and ofc RNG plays a part.

You got all the coins in one evening?

Including getting the coins?

I honestly can’t remember how many of those I had already, I had never got rid of any I’d previously gained.

Yes, though i think I was lucky with the Gold coin as I got it without knowing what it waa, thats when I looked up Wowhead.

Also have maxed out fishing, a fishing hat and a bejeweled fishing pole, which may have helped
