because its not interesting or engaging, just let us manfight the end boss if we want more of a struggle, it’s a weekly chore to help keep your character relevant or try things out on other specs, really gotta squeeze the played time out of people
I levelled a mage alt and found it to be terrible mainly due to these mechanics. I found a rare and I thought I’ll do well if I can kite the mob and play smart. So I first nova then gain distance and he teleports right behind me stunning me and that wasn’t the first time. Basically removes ranged classes strength.
Coldheart is anoying
Not full of traps like Fractured, or a hellhole like Mort’regar but on par with these
Many belive Thorgast was designed and made to be “Fun”
It’s not
There are many who enjoy the challenge, but I think most simply just glad when done with it and hope the 150 soul ember calling will not pop
Thorgast was made to be a chore
Torghast is pretty awful generally, I imagine blizzard know it’s bad because they resorted to hating the legendaries behind it to try and force people in there.
Torgast is not supposed to be fun… its to test balance tuning and such. All the data they are collecting from it will help sort out the balance mess we have.
Part of it is you get bombarded by Mawsworn launching kamikaze strikes on you (which barely knocks you a yard or two in normal mode, but in Twisting Corridors on floors 13+ it literally one-shots you if you don’t dodge ALL of them)
Part of it is insane elite numbers. You get a pack of 2-3 elites almost every 20 meters. The corridors are narrow and the mob density high, which makes you pull slowly unless you’re overgeared, lest you pull 20 mobs on you which you can’t fight (as the casters hit A LOT and there’s always a chance you’ll be crit (mobs porting behind you) or feared)
Last week I pulled this shaman through Torghast. I was at ilvl 132, done both wings on layer 8 on first try, solo. This week I was 188 ilvl, but it felt much HARDER. Soulforges were annoying as always (on lower floors anyways), but Coldheart just had packs of 2-3 elites EVERY COUPLE OF STEPS. It wasn’t really hard, but Hexing and def CD popping and self healing got tedious after a while.
