Collectible in-game lore books?

It has been a long time since I joined this wonderful World of Warcraft and as much as I have tried I have never really understood the lore of this game through the in-game playtime.

I had to rely on others to create posts/videos explaining the lore.

Maybe it is just me but I would love to have a collection of lore books throughout the world explaining the main story and then maybe even side storybooks that are tied to the main story.

What do you guys think?

I’d love to see that.

Honestly I’d like that blizz could make some books from achievements lootable, for example:

Or

Every time I loot a book in-game I keep it on my bank or in my character inventory.

There’s no easy way to read a novel in WoW thought

Don’t think it’ll work.

Edit : I took the suggestion as having the lore books like before the storm, a good war, arthas ect in WoW, not keeping all the books you find in game somewhere.

That is a good idea and would also like to have some sort of personal library where you can re-read the books that you have found/read before in game.

I was thinking about maybe even adding a shelve of some sort to the garrison since it is not going anywhere. The other option is an actual library room like the one in Stormwind. I have not seen one for The Horde!

There is already a Jukebox there and reusing old content just for sake of it would be nice.

I wish they made more lorebooks out in the world like they did in vanilla.

I had always wished that you had a library collection.

TP from Ogri to Silvermoon and you will end up in library room :smirk:
I am sure Suramar has it somewhere as well

They wouldn’t need to add books if they actually bothered to show the lore events in-game. :stuck_out_tongue:

The “Lore” is a jumbled mess. You play in one area and you play in one timeline, you play in another and it jumps forward or back, then reverts when you go to some other zone. A major NPC is dead in one area, and happily alive in another. I never bother with it at all and it hasn’t affected my gameplay in the slightest.

Maybe I’ve misinterpreted your question, but there are lore books with pieces of lore all over Azeroth. I’m not sure, but I think Vanilla, TBC and WotLK all have books, as they added an achievement for finding them all in WotLK.
