now that some people are using the PTR, (and release is only just over a month away) is there specific details about the new transmog collecting rules available? off the top of my head specifically:
can we start collecting now from legacy content? if so, must we not loot it while running the raid so it goes to our mailbox (like breezy suggested once) or can it already be in our bags
is it confirmed that class gear cant be learned by other classes? im sure theres others off the top of my head, but the class gear from vanilla, or the tokens from TBC onwards? if they are not learnable, are we able to put them in your warband bank and transfer them to a class that can use it? like looting shaman token in ICC on a war, putting it in warband bank, then taking it out on a shaman toon and learning it that way?
any other info on the new transmog collection abilities (beyond being able to learn “anything” on any class) would be appreciated as the transmog change is really the only thing that made me return to wow, hence why i’ve spent the past month in classic/remix and not touched SL/DF once. (just finished the collections today i think except stuff bought with bones. only need 7 more bones.)
I am not sure if it will count in mailbox, or will it only be avaliable after TWW starts - like they will throw a switch and change the rules but earlier items won’t be affected. It remains to be seen, but you can always try and keep them in the mailbox/bags and try using later. The worst that might happen is you will have tu run the raid/dungeon again later.
Wasn’t it said there were some changes to class sets? I don’t remember 100% but people asked for some changes, though I am not sure if it was for class set drops or for set tokens only.
Concluding, I find it a little bit not explained enough. Blizz should make a long post to explain every aspect of the transmog changes, then we would be in the clear. But there is still some time so maybe there will be such post before the start.
Also I am not sure, but are not the transmogs starting at the pre-patch?
As for the Remix, I like the idea very much, just grinding a little, which is very light and easy to get sets and mounts I couldn’t get in years. Would like to have more expansions to return in that way. Like I miss very much from other expansions and I dont’s have the patiencec to grind them in normal way, spamming old dungeons/raids, etc.
Yes you’ll be able to collect tier sets, via the warband, they’ll be warbound drops.
Existing gear in your character-level bank or bag inventory will be automatically added to your transmog collection when you first log into that character.
i wonder if this will work with legion unobtainable skins… like i have unlocked them on my DK does that mean the same achievement would unlock across all alts?
will be interesting to see, my pc might crash come TWW …
my dk has every rep exalted.
i think i’ve seen them say that you will learn all available rewards from quests, not just the reward you pick. is this retroactive, because i think i’ve done ALL quests on this toon prior to SL.
this would bring up 2 dilemma’s:
forcing someone to complete 100% of quests again on alts even though they’ve completed 100% on main.
leaving out people who don’t have or want alts, but have completed 100% of quests on their sole toon.
Do we know if we can farm stuff like taeshalach from Antorus on characters that wouldn’t be able to normally learn it? Because you don’t loot those items - they’re push loot.
Yeah I couldn’t find anything about it and it’s a very specific case as there are only couple of items I can think of that are push loot. Oh well I guess we’ll have to wait and see:P In my quarterly e-mail to blizzard in which I evaluate MVPs, I’ll mention that you were extremely helpful and courteous throughout q3.
