Not a bad idea .but I think 99 tokens would be a fair price as a bad protection luck.
And I would wager they should make it permanent instead of just short time period .
I got Sylvanas mount first try. Meanwhile I am already 40 tries in Deathwing. He drops two different mounts. I got 4. The 4 are the Handmaiden No Blazzing Drake. Meanwhile on US forums another player told me she is on the opposite, 3 Blazzing Drake and no Handmaiden. Luck is luck.
By the way I heard that legacy mounts are not personal loot so doing the instance in groups instad of soloing doesn’t give you more chances. A group of 20 people killing Sylvanas is one chance to get the mount. Not 20
You are right. He is also right. In part, at least.
Every run has a 95% chance of not dropping. Or 0.95. And 110 runs have 0.95^100 chance of not dropping even once. That’s 0,36%.
Or saying in other words… the chance of throwing 1100 D20 dices and never hitting 20 is 0,36%. OP is indeed a very unlucky guy.
But that’s how luck works. OP is the on the 0,36% unlucky percentile. On average we expect that 3 of every 1000 players are that unlucky. And 50 of every 1000 will be the lucky ones who got it first try. And in between there will be other players with other values. Luck is luck
The token idea is something that we have requested since age immemorial. Basically make every legacy boss that drops a mount to drop a token. At 100 tokens purchase any mount of your preference (ie. one you miss). Therefore there is an upper ceiling on when one will get their targeted mount.
Adding another 5 is making some players happy, some unhappy. Its cool for the first 2 min to get a cool mount, but there is no uniqeness to this game anymore. Everyone can gave everything, dont get me wrong i miss alot, but giving everything away arent going to solve this game. The real big deal is exchange the dev team.
Btw i think it wow will come as mobile game too soon.
It will come. Current dev team thinks that would be better rather looking inwards and determine wether they should listen more to the players and analyze them, and not only listen to the 1 pct.
If it comes to console and mobile i dont really care. They gonna milk the wow franchise as long as they can. I feel wow is made by salespeople nowadays rather than passioned longterm developers. By the way, how often have we been looking at a cool cinematic? And once you play the game that cinematic seems broken and does not really fit into wiw gameplay.
