Collector's Bounty is disappointing

Next week is another week.

Out of curiosity , what does it help if u bring more ppl? It aint realy faster as u oneshot everything pretty much anyway , and it doesnt affect your chance to get mount ? Or what am i missing here ?

Yesterday I got in q single day 3 mounts. One that I have been farming on and off for a decade and another that has been eluding me almost 20 years. So, yes, the event is working.

But it is true that you need an army of alts ready. Altought with one single character if you do each of every raid abd dungeon with a a mount…I am confident that something should drop by mere probability. But if you want one in particular you need to have alts to do it dozens of times

Isn’t this more of a “you problem” than a Blizzard problem?

They clearly stated, that they would increase by 10x… And if people then take cosmetics / mounts with a 0.1% chance (before buff) and are surprised they don’t get it first day I really don’t know how to react.

It’s not like Blizzard went “Guys, we will super duper increase the drop chances! Go farm!” and then it comes out afterwards the increase was minimal.
You decided to spend your evening going for things that you clearly want, now with an increased drop chance, and you are complaining that “they???” wasted your time?

Not really. They have announced that the drops increases UP to 10x, and in one case 25X. It has also been confirmed that the final probability is 5%. That probes that the original drop was never 0,1%, except the one with 25x increase wich es even lower. The original drops was 0,5% minimum, maybe 1%

So… You’re telling me:

  1. We knew already that the drop chances before buff was very low

  2. You correct me, that Blizzards announcement was:

So what part of my comment are you going “Not really” for?
If it’s just the correction to add the “up to” part, then it just highlights my point even more clear

You forgot to mention that you said the drops were 0,1% when it was been proved by the event that such statment is false. There has never been a 0,1% drop mount (except the one with 25x increase). It is simple math.

Please quote where I said drop chances were 0,1% ?

TBH there was no mount in the game before the event from legacy instances that would not drop in 20 years of dedicated farming. People tend to exaggerate their past farming efforts a bit too much.

Are you kidding me?

“They clearly stated, that they would increase by 10x… And if people then take cosmetics / mounts with a 0.1% chance (before buff)”

No, I am questioning your ability to comprehend what I wrote.

I never stated drop chances were 0,1%… I said IF people take cosmetics / mounts with a 0,1% chance (before buff)…

Are you telling me NO cosmetic or mounts in game has a 0,1% drop chance? not a single one?

Are you telling me, that you can’t understand the difference between an EXAMPLE to a point and a definitive answer?

This:

Just shows you didn’t actually read what I wrote :joy:
Skipped the whole “cosmetics” part there bud.
But again, it was an example to illustrate a point, and for all I care we can say 10%, 2%, 3%, doesn’t really change my point.

If you farm with one toon, yes you will probably hardly spot any difference, try with 10 weekly per mount and see the difference.

With one toon you are not a collector anyway.

Well, I got both mounts from Zul’Gurub the first day so I can’t really complain.

And I have told you that affirmation is false execept in one mount (that we dont know wich) . Those cosmetics have 0,5% chance or more. Not 0,1%

An example isnt an example if is false.

No, it totally change and invalidate your point. The difference between 0,1 abd 0,5 before the event make it a diferent between 1 and 5. Thats 5 times more chance that what you imply. People shouldnt expect drops the first day with 5% drop? Well, math said that yes. With 5% drops there should be drops the first day. And people are getting mounts the first day. I got 3 the first day

My brother in christ… No it does not “invalidate my point”…

Please do explain to me, what my point is, because at this point, I am certain that you haven’t understood it.

What is your source claiming no cosmetics or mounts have 0,1% drop chance? Please do link your source  Interesting read

Imagine mounts that most ppl farmed hundreds of attempts for are now presented on a silver plate requiring one or two dozens of runs at max and people still keep complaining :frowning:

I think it’s because people expected more out of feeling rather than what was presented.

They said they would increase the drop chance by 10x… sorry… up to 10x, yet people seem to be surprised they aren’t getting low drop chance mounts left and right.

10x a very low drop chance, is still going to be a low drop chance… Increased? sure! But not at all a guarantee

This article

Blizzard said that everything increases up to 10X minimun except one mount that is 25X. Then they also said the final probability is minimum 5% for everything. That means that original drop rate should be minimun 0,5% drop, not 0,1% because 5/10 = 0.5

I see, but let us be honest. 5% of flat drop chance is a luxury nobody sane can complain about. A WoW collector knows this.

Wait… Mounts?

Again… You miss the “cosmetics” part… Can you highlight where in the article they also mention cosmetic items?

Or are you taking your words back accusing me of false statements?
