They say buy another epic edition we ll refund you on BNET, you ll never see your money back if you dont buy our product.

You know, what pro-consumer company would do?
But that’s what good companies do. We all know that’s not Blizzard case.

I’ve tried to figure out this issue today with support chat of EU Blizzard Gear Store. They said, they are completely different company and only sell and deliver physical products. They have no idea about digital products, early access and stuff about the game itself. And suggested to contact game support, or Activision support.
Did they actually mention Activision? They aren’t even the main company in charge of Blizzard anymore. It’s Microsoft. Such outdated information they have gave you if so.

On previous year and the years before that there were the same questions tho and this is about the same answer they’ve given:
If people give more constructive feedback maybe they’ll come with an official news response but otherwise expect no big changes.
Which is kinda scammy, because I don’t want credits to be refunded to BNet Account, I want it to be refunded to real money. So now Bliz is interested to send CE as late as possible, so people would be forced to buy additional digital edition and these extra money will stay at Blizzard one way or another.

I bought the 20th year CE for TWW and I learn just today on forums that people who bought Physical 20year edition will not reciev the box in time for the release of The War Within.
So if that’s true I can’t play on release - 3 early days access and maybe not after 3 days on real date release.
On forum they suggest to buy digital CE and get a refund later with the code in the box. Problem is the refund is about a credit on Bnet Wallet but I’m sorry I’ve absolutely nothing to buy on Bnet and I pay my WoW’s sub with gold in game…
So 2 options
- Keep physical Edition 20th year and cant play 3 day before and maybe not after and need to wait for the box.
- pay 2nd time a digital edition and losing 90 euro for ever because i’v nothing to buy I bnet.
I’m sorry but when i bought the physical edition it wasnt said about those problem… its kind unfair …
can you help me please? I dont want to steal blizzard but i want to play in time with my collector code… And I also dont want to lose money… its about 90.- …

from personal experience on previous CEs: In recent expansions like SL and DF the refund process was automatic upon applying the Key included in the box on your account. The moment you claimed the CE key, if you had purchased any edition of the expansion the amount you paid was automatically given to you as battlenet balance. I assume the same is for this expansion. As for your concerns on what to do with the balance: buy game time, the digital version of the next expansion for on-time access, maybe a different blizzard game. If none of that interests you then reconsider your options and choices
Happened to me as well. Bought the CE (first time ever tho) and I naively thought that I’m gonna receive a redeem code for the digital Epic edition but nothing…
Submitted a ticket, got the same answers as you did but no clarification upon shipment.
So at this point I don’t know when I will receive the CE plus I’ve got no clue where the redeem code is for the digital. Will it come with the box?
Blizzard at least should state that if you purchase the CE now, you won’t get the digital epic edition as soon as the purchase has been made.
Not to mention my not existing faith in UK shipping companies. I doubt they could guarantee that I’ll be able to have my CE at least 3 days before release to enjoy the early access benefits.

The physical CE will, as it has always been the case, be shipped prior to release so you will recieve it on, or in some rare unfortunate cases some days after, the day of release.
This december thing is just a formal legal text crap thing “release date placeholder”.

Yes, for guaranteed beta and 3 day early access you will definately need to buy digital epic edition, but worrying you’ll have to wait until december because of a placeholder date is unnecessery.
It says in the shop description: “It’s included in a seperate envelope.”
The envelope is inside the box. There’s one for the game key and one for the 30days gametime key. (wait, I think the gametime was automatically added with the game key…)
I could be wrong, but isnt “December” just a place holder date for legal reasons, untill they set an actual release date?
If im not mistaken, collectors editions are usually shipped in time for delivery a few days before launch.

Yeah, my bad! I’ve read the post again and found the answer about the redeem code, however I still think It’d be simply more professional and fair towards customers to send the redeem code for the digital Epic version upon purchase of CE.

Yes, I am aware of the date is just being a placeholder.
Also, I’m pretty sure Blizz will ship in time, the concerning part is the unreliability of the UK couriers.
