When is the collector’s edition announced? A month? 2 months? later? I am just clueless.
Generally soon™ and lets hope this time the physical editions are handled by a proper retailer cuz the previous one wasn’t so good, with the box being sent as-is instead in another box with stuffing or gone ‘missing’/opened etc etc.

i was lucky with DF CE. min was in good shape.
i wonder if they put the game into the CE or only goodies like Diablo IV.
Its usually the code nowadays I think? And goodies ofcourse.
i know bad take but i think CE without the game is a better idea.
we buy the epic CE get all ingame stuff and only buy the rl goodies with the CE.
but we are going to see
Mine wasn’t. Got a new one that was in good shape. Ended up with 2 of em. All they wanted back was the code from the first box. The rest was mine to keep. So 2 boxes filled with goodies.

well they could make the physical edition cheaper because of the lack of ingame goodies.
games with more plattforms are doing it and its a good idea. dont kno if you want to play on PC, PS or Xbox. doesnt matter, buy the CE without the game and buy the game on the plattform you like.
ok WoW is only available for PC so thats not a problem. but if you want NOW the goodies but also the CE … you have to wait.
I think they got a lot of feedback about that, fingers crossed they have taken note!

Generally in past CE redemptions, if you buy a digital edition in advance and pre-order the CE, you will get the digital edition back in BNET balance as soon as you add the CE this happens automatically.
This could always change but I don’t think it will. You could wait for more info about this or just buy either versions.

I think a collector’s edition without a code inside is a great idea, I can start playing the game without waiting for the box to arrive. And in this case I can pre-order the game and use the boost and digital items.
And I agree big collector’s boxes are part of the past.
What could it contain:
Soundtrack - it’s already digital anyway
Mousepad - it could be a separate purchase
Art book - could be made as an interactive digital or as a separate purchase
Pin set - separate purchase for whoever wants them
So is spending massive ammounts of time in front of the computer, consuming unnessecary electricity in the name of entertainment.
Blizzard ships what? 250k boxes once every 2 years, meanwhile McDonalds produce 3 tons of paper and plastic garbage every minute, and unlike burger wrappers, people actually keep the physical collectors editions.
Collectors editions are hardly the culprit when it comes to the environment. Let people enjoy things.

After a long period where I didn’t found the time to play the game.
I’ve opened last week my CE boxes for BfA, Sl and DF.
Was I disapointed that the soundtrack code’s were expired.
And that DF didnt even had one. Thats a shame.
While I can come in to the point that CD’s are old tech.
With the goodies they added they could make a kind of an epic USB stick to carry the soundtrack.
Like for example the box with the medalion, they could have made a part of the stand a USB device with the soundtrack.
Or make a themed usb decives for the soundtrack.
But those ideas dusn’t help me with my expired key’s.
Why don’t they make a download tab in your account overvieuw, so when you add the code for the game from your CE box, you have automaticly have acces to the download of that soundtrack.
That could be a fix for the value of the last 3 expancions CE boxes to restore the value of being still the same as advertised back then. (it wasnt stated on the outside of the box that the soundtrack code’s would expire)
Ok I said last 3 and to be honnest the soundtrack of DF wasn’t even mentioned on the box, but that could be added in a form as an appologise.
(This can be in the wrong thread sorry for that.)

Yeppers. 
If it’s not written anywhere even with tiny letters that the soundtrack code would expire I would suggest opening a ticket although I doubt they will provide you with the download link.
Been there done that…no solution
