Isn’t there anything to get rid of this… thing?
Hiding it down under bags buttons seems the only solution i found so far. But it keeps pupping up each time i log into my character
Deleting the tab doesn’t work?

You can unlock the Combat log and then use the “_” button on the side to minimize the window.
In order to actually remove it would require the use of an interface addon. I’d recommend asking in the UI and Macro forum.
There in no option to delete it.
And as for the topic in the link. Tried everything but the combat log always finds a way to appear again…

Put it up above your portrait. Then it’s nearly invisible.
