Come on blizzard, I want my old rogue animations and sounds back via glyphs. I am not asking you to revert the changes, I just want to have them back in some way because I like them more. I want to have more options to customize my character.
Thinking more of it I recall that there was a duality between Visual Effects and body animations in the pre-legion expansions. Now every sub rogue/arms warrior, regardless of race or gender, use the same damn animation for ambush/mortal strike.
I feel like they missed the mark with most of the classes like ferals, hunters, enhancement shamans, warriors and more. Some of the old stuff were good and did not had to be removed entirely.
I am curious to know how other people think about the visuals and sounds of abilities. Do you feel that the new stuff are an improvement over the ones from pre-legion?

I generally think all the new stuff is better. I don’t like some races warrior shouts and I used to have an addon to disable that soundfile.
But 9 out of 10 times I think the new stuff is better.
That said though, I’m all for more customization and options for players.

A customization system via glyphs would also give back some meaning back to the profession.
Wish I could change the animation for crusade strike on my belf 
But… Soon I’m going human again!

I want the old sound effects of Rogues, Ferals and Enhancement shamans. I want them noisier for me but silent for everybody else.
…Oh and give hunter guns their old bang-bang noises. LOVED THEM!

I’d love to have old undead animations back.
But we all know it’s never going to happen. All the stuff is incompatible and would require work to be recreated, which in turn requires money, which Blizzard, the small indie game company, is sadly lacking.

I love how the game used to sound. Proccing deep wounds on a crit for warrior back in the day was so satisfying (it was that bloody sound). If you think about it it was 2-3 sounds for every class/spec in total but they blended together so well.
I hate most modern animations, especially the new bolt animations introduced in legion, with some exceptions (e.g. lava burst is still good). All rogue attacks also sound so weak and powerless nowadays. Same goes for enh shammy, the vanilla/tbc WF animation is too good and modern ones are kinda meh. Since I main a warrior I can’t help myself but complain about the new WW/Bladestorm compared to the old ones.
Overall I think animations introduced in the legion client kinda ruined visuals/sounds for me. I would love to see things redone in 10.0 even though I think blizz doesn’t prioritize this atm.

But we had old animations in wod when they implemented the new hd models, so that’s inaccurate.

Back in Cata when pallies finally got an interrupt, it used to be a kick animation like the rogues do, it was so much fun to dispense justice with a boot in your face 
And then they changed it to that weak slap, booooh

I would have so made a pally called Dredd…
Oh right, I remembered wrong; it was the newer animations that were incompatible with the old model skeletons and that’s why they made those unavailable (instead of giving themselves twice the work every time they were to incorporate new animations).
yes please there should be even option between old gfx and new gfx. i dont like any of the new casting/fighting animations except paladin holy spells (using libram)
