When I arrived at the quest location, I noticed a “large” number of farming skinning players.
After a while, I noticed that some people do it according to a pattern.
When I open loot of my dead target they change their path and run strtaight to body (0.5s after you take out loot you can skin). When i skin it, they still keep running to it. Blockade for 3s doing nothing and run back same straight way. And over and over.
The thing that is a bot its fully visible.
I have spoken to guild mmebers and they told me their know, and blizzard accept their subscription/lvl boost cause it makes huge income.
I think creating (once) antycheat is 0,001% of month income for blizz, they antycheat just is created. But they dont are about it.
I feel like blizz is spitting my face and the fact its vell known make it disgutsting. Like what the… ?
And then when they get banned, they charge back the accounts creating huge expenses and fines from such fraudulent credit cards. This logic doesn’t hold up.
There is Warden’s Anticheat, but usually they ban in waves to avoid detection by bot creators. It doesn’t usually stop them for long.
For example in another F2P game Valorant & League this is explained in more detail why it is so difficult:
The botting problem is prevalant in all games/MMO’s, not just WoW. If there was a solution there would be one by now.
An ex-dev that worked at Blizz:
You may suggest any methods you may think of through the ingame feedback box but it is not likely that it will be groundbreaking new suggestion.
don’t read all that crap, imagine bringing evidence from the convict who is making HUGE money out of bots over making the game properly playable,
why do you think BLizz has multiple expansions live , BOTS are all over the place
they say that banning bots is better every 6 months, but a bot can make 100 times profit than the account cost , so Bots win and Blizz win, why ban them, why spend more money to improve the anti-Bot while you can literally make money from them.
don’t forget, the owners and the investors dont care about you and me , it is business my friend, if Bots make Blizz more money than you and i, they will find a middle ground to make you believe that they are trying hard to deal with them, while they both make ton of money.
Who is the convict and why would you not read industry accepted evidence?
Kaivax has commented they’re banning weekly.
If you don’t believe anything Blizzard says but only what botters says, why are you even on the official forums anyway? You won’t believe anything what Blizzard will do regardless even if they were to announce a total annihiliation campaign tomorrow and were to struck innocents from the game with no course of appeal.
I see daily “unfairly banned” posts on the US CS forums so I find it quite stark to see such posts that claims on one hand that Blizzard doesn’t do anything and then also claim Blizzard is doing a make-believe ban when the player is actually really banned and complaining about it.
Yes, 10years ago. Paying for you botaccounts with stolen credit cards isnt a thing anymore, why risk creditcard fraud when you can make hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of gold for only 13 bucks without committing a crime. Goldseller/botters break the TOS, not the law. That would change with stolen credit cards.
Indeed, no suggestion will be groundbreakingly new because blizzard got all the suggestions they need (aka actual humans to check for bots) but I guess its hard to get staff without paying them.
From what I am aware no matter what the bots do banning them is not the solution, iv seen bot guilds where they store the gold in the actual guild bank for sale and keep re adding sellers to the guild to sell the gold. They never remove the Gold or the guild they might ban the players but the gold is still there available for the botters to sell. So they will just keep botting and move the gold they don’t care about a ban.
The amount of gold the probs make from a bot being on 24/7 for a week is probs more than $100 worth so botters will always will unless you remove where they hold the gold/items.
How is it possible these gold sites to actively advertise that they have 1 or 10 million gold ready to sell? Because blizzard bans the bots but not dig deeper to where they send it to.
Also if you ban the buyers they stop also GDKP’s are know location of gold buyers why not Ban these sort of groups I know not all are bad and some use legit gold but most its botted gold bought on 3rd party web sites.
Another idea Ban wave and lock the realm, then dig deeper ban the sellers find location where they store it. ban the buyers.
Also final note on these botters so say using dodgy credit cards committing a real world crime is HIGHLY UNLIKELY
they are making money from bots , they do ban waves every 3-6 months for the show
imagine how much gold / money the bot can make in 6 months hhhhhh ^^
hell, they even removed ingame GMs that takes care of that like old days, they just want us to “” please help us with ingame report system"" wtf is that !
The problem with banwaves is that they
A) Assume that only one version of specific botting software at any given moment which means Bot Developers wouldn’t be able to know what triggered it
B) Ignore the main goal of both developing and using bots - Profit.
For the first thing from what I can gather any successful bit developer runs multiple versions of the software concurrently. So unless all are banned at the same time it’s not hard to check what could have triggered the security. And considering we keep seeing bots pop out within a week or two of Banwave it’s safe to say they’re really good at quickly identifying what triggered the flag.
For the second… Both Botters and Bot software devs make profit the longer they can remain undisturbed. After all the longer the farming bot runs around the more and more gold they make that’s resold for profit. And for devs most Botting software is either one time purchase or subscription based. In both cases the faster you ban them the more you cut into their profit. What harm will happen to bot user if before they got ban they recouped their costs dozens times over? What issues will bot dev have if their software is popular because it’s safe for an extended period of time meaning it brings in profit?
I have read few of your replies over few other topics. I’m not saying this to offend you or affect you in any other negative way, but your answers are sooooo BASED. You are the perfect example of what we players are dealing with. In one of the posts you said don’t make tickets coz that’s waste of time for both sides. All what you do is try to hide problems under the rug.
They dont have any GMs anymore. Because they make money if they have less employees. Blizzard is a multi billion dollar company and they dont do **** about the botters because they make money from them.
Not true. Blizzard can check if the player responds to whispers, /s, or party invites—bots generally don’t do any of those at this moment.
Bots also follow a consistent nodes to farm and gather, moving from one place to another 24/7, which a real player can’t replicate without fail. Their PvE rotation is always the same, they usually have low achievement scores, and they often wear crap gear or PvP items while standing AFK in battlegrounds. These patterns can help distinguish bots from real players.
