Done it already 3 time to complete Aiding the Accord and get my rep, but feast is bugged for many players. Is this being adressed?
Yeah, most people don’t seem to be able to contribute to it. I can’t do the weekly Aiding the Accord and Community Feast quests.
I have the same problem…
It completes for me.
I think what confuses people is the fact you need to click the little chef hat button when Big Kinook gives a command to be awarded progress with the quest - if you don’t click it in reasonable time it disappears - then reappears when Big Kinook has another thing he wants you to do. Sometimes, you’ll also need to complete additional actions which you’ll need to read what Big Kinook is telling you to do.
Most of the time it’s just clicking the big hat chef button and your character will say “Yes, chef!”
It does work.
I never click that button, and it completed for me yesterday.
Hmmm well isn’t that a conundrum. I’ve completed several of the “community feast” quests and in every single one of them to progress on it, I’ve had to press that button - sometimes do additional actions. Without pressing the button, nothing progresses on it so I’m at a loss there on how you completed it without doing so.
Equally to fulfill the participate in the community feast in the weekly quest pressing that button works every time.
I too never used to click the chef hat button but, unless I’m mistaken, I discovered today that clicking the chef hat is 1 towards the quest’s 5 and actually completing the task gives you another so you only have to do 2 tasks so long as you click the button 3 times.
This happened to me halfway through so I haven’t managed to confirm it yet.
2 of my alts completed the weekly by doing 2 tasks and dropping a piece of meat from one of the attacking mobs in the cauldron.
They also made it a no mount zone, and when the feast event is active combat dummy style toys despawn the moment they are dropped.
I also hardly ever used to click the chefs hat icon, and never had a problem completing the 5 tasks previously.
Hm. Some experimenting to be done. Maybe they changed something about it with the patch.
I didn’t notice it being a no mount zone now though it could well have been. However there was a massive demon hunter there whose wings seemed to cover everything. I presume he was using some sort of toy and was obnoxious when asked to get out of the way.
The rest of it was an improvement except for the sheer numbers of people.
Results of experiment! So right now, in 10.0.5, I just found
- You get task credit, but no rep, when you click the Chef’s Hat.
- You get (another) task credit, and rep, when you complete the task.
I am sure that the Chef’s Hat didn’t give me credit when I did my first one. That’s why I didn’t bother clicking it after. I can only presume that they changed something at some point.
Maybe stock up on Baby Spice? [*] I keep some on my Mage, and often wish I did on my other characters. Very satisfying.
I have come to the conclusion that the Only Way is to go at non-peak times. I mean, obviously you can do it even in the middle of the light show, but it’s less annoying when there are only 10-20 people there.
And someday there will be almost nobody there. And what then? Can Feasts even be soloed?
[*] P.S. I didn’t know about this. Do you have a Level 3 Inn in your Garrison? https://www.wowhead.com/object=239082/spices#comments
Thank you so much.
Firstly I didn’t know Baby Spice existed and, secondly, I’ve at last found the reason Garrison HS has been taking up a slot in my bags since I first got it
