I’ve logged in after many, many weeks into WoW and all I see in trade chat is what was reportable back in Wotlk and Cata (and I guess before as well) days.
What the hell is this spam about boost +15 or for achuievments, gear or stuff. How the f*** is this legal? This is pay per month game not a F2P trash where this s*** makes sense.
WoW was never esport or pvp game as that makes no sense in tab target design. so how come these scammers and gold sellers are legal now? Why is wow egalitarian nightmare, this is seriously the worst state the game ever was in and I am sure its only cash cow now…

Blizzard makes money with boosters simply because people want to buy boosts.
Buy token with money, sell token for gold, give gold to booster.
Blizzard let you do anything

Selling boosts is very easy gold.
You see, I’m very lazy, and I like to work smart.
Is there a better way to make gold other than boost someone for 300k for 20min of work? Even with a credit card it can take a day to sell tokens.
Blizz, ban this gold seller.
Selling boosts is a trade. It is your gold for their time through whatever content.
I’m not aware of the rules having changed. Goldsellers were reportable or those selling for IRL currencies.
Content is highly repeatable so groups of people can sell again and again and again.

Boosting for ingame gold has never been against the rules

No… boosting for money is, not for gold. As far as it’s wow currency everything is legal. Think about AH
1M gold for a 485 item? Is that bannable? No:blush: you wouldn’t buy it, as well as you wouldn’t buy a boost. If a boost was in AH nobody would complain

I kinda wish they were to be honest. I have zero problem with people boosting for gold - as Puny said, they are giving their time for your in-game gold. Nothing wrong with that.
What I do have a problem with, is when you try to sell an item in trade chat, and 50 people spam paragraphs of text advertising their boosting services. As soon as someone else puts something in there, the adverts get pasted again to make sure they are always seen.
If they had a billboard or a tab in the AH, they could list it in there for everyone to browse through without polluting trade chat.

Look at them as mercenaries selling their services for gold, swords for hire and all that.
Where else would you expect them to advertise their TRADE, other than TRADE chat ?
Makes perfect sense to me that in a world beset by wars and other threats that there would be people willing to sell their combat abilities to the highest bidder.
You can always turn trade chat off.

Rofl, they are everywhere yea.
2 Days I ago I whisped one of them, I said wanna buy an N’zoth Heroic for 125k. We didn’t talk about the details, they didn’t ask anything etc. then I whisped to the guy who invited me to raid, I said I won’t pay the gold before the kill, I can’t trust you or there might be some problems related to the game like DC, they didn’t want this and I wouldn’t pay the gold pre run of course, screw you boosters I’ll buy it for 50 k after a few months.
Why I really wanted to buy it was my corruption actually, when I use 3 corruption items in total they were 41 corruption, I’m an arena player I can’t go in with 41 corruption. Your loss boosters…
You don’t need a boost for nzoth hc. Join a raid. Wipe a lot. When rl leaves take over and invite 470s+ only.

Yea I know I can kill it eventually, I just don’t wanna put too much time onto it. I don’t like raiding and stepped into Ny’alotha a week ago even though I’ve been playing since the 8.3 launch…
I got it with rank 5 cloak as dps. Ez. Esp as tank.
Power of wasting5 hours wiping on nzoth
That’s what I’m talking about, so it is the most accurate decision to wait for prices to drop, when they have less customers they’ll drop the prices and there will be undercutters around.
Welcome back.
Funny thing is that people actually support boosting and defend it. Well this is what it is. Blizz don’t mind it bcoz it happens in their terms and they are getting most share of money.

It’s both atm. Lead designer is a lawyer. Devs are unpaid interns of IT on their gap years
I’d rather use my gold for subscription time than boosting services.
M+ I’ve got communities, and raid once you got a curve is not appealing anymore as it used to.
M+ offers better rewards than HC raid. For curve or dungeons a simple community would be enough, unless someone is looking for the Azeroth champion Feast of Strength.
