Companion app update incompatible with phone (Android 9)

So after the pre-patch, I was excited to be able to use the companion app to manage not only BfA but also Legion mission tables (and eventually Shadowlands).
Unfortunately, when I went to the Google Play Store to update, I can’t install the app as it says my phone (Android 6) is incompatible with the current version of the app. It won’t even install on my wife’s phone which runs on Android 9.

Does the new version of the app actually require Android 10 upwards to use and if so, will that continue to be the case in the future?

I cant even find the app on playstore, and when i look at installed apps, it dosent even show me the current one that i have… WTF?
Edit, managed to find it in the playstore, i have Android 10 and it says its not compatibile with my device anymore… WUT !?

So either it straight up requires Android 11 or (more likely) there’s some kind of mistake. Can we get official clarification on this?

I have the same problem. App wont install on a galaxy tab a, android 8.1 but it’s updated fine on a galaxy s10 with android 10. Annoyance…grrr

It seems whatever the problem was, it’s fixed now. This morning I was able to find the app on the Google Play Store and install it on even my old Android 6. No issues after booting it, seems to work just fine too.
