Compare DH to rogue defensives

The main problem with havoc in pvp right now is that it has almost no survivability, which is necessary for a melee class to compete especially in this burst meta. It’s actually mind-boggling when you compare what DH gets compared to sub rogue for defensives.

DH: Blur: dodge +50% and reduced dmg taken by 20%, 1 minute cooldown

Besides that there’s Darkness which is useless in pvp and on a 3 minute cooldown. You could have both of these active and still die in seconds.

Meanwhile rogue’s feint ability outclasses all of our defensives combined, and that’s just one ability. With the talent it’s a 30% reduction on ST dmg taken and 40% reduction on AOE dmg taken, on a 15 second cooldown!!! Besides that they get stealth, vanish, a self-heal on 30 sec cd, 100% dodge and 100% magic immunity both on 2 min cd, 2 baseline stuns, and blind.

It’s insane how screwed over DH is right now. You feel like a sitting duck in pvp, everyone targets you first because they know you have no defensives.

nah it is just that rogues are busted as always.
Instead of buffing DHs defensives, cut down all other defensives to DHs level so that we don’t have 1 off cd but 23489078239048 def cds in general

Long post but here we go :

I used to play rogue from TBC to WoD, then switched to DH.

They always had crappy survivability :

Blur was a 50% dodge chance vs Evasion 100%, yes on a shorter CD but still not on par with usual melee defensives.

Removed Blade Dance dodge window. That one I can understand, but didn’t help.

Darkness ability, ridiculous damage reduction for PvP on a specific zone. It’s not good and has a long CD.

Leech has been castrated with end Legion/early BFA, and required you to do damage to even be noticed
You don’t have on heal demand like rogue + their potion AND leech poison.

DH despite very good mobility, is rendered useless with simple slows, not even talking about novas/roots. Because Fel Rush, being already glitchy with disconnections, has its travel distance linked to your movement speed, last I checked. Vengeful escape only removed slows and is not always easy to pull off to land perfectly where you want.

DH has a 2s AoE stun and has to talent to get a 4s single target stun.

Meanwhile a rogue has multiple CCs, can basically do everything a DH can do but without the flashy effects AND has much better defense/survivability with cloak of shadows, evasion and let’d not forget Stealth+Vanish.

Monks are a leather class, can heal and has better mobility because with one skill they can say f*** off to roots/snares. Better defensives too.

So that’s why even back when people jumped on the hatetrain with DH, I never PvP with mine because it was just terrible.

Only the people playing DH knew their lack of defense but with an ok damage it balanced it and made sense.

Now after the hatetrain and the multiple nerf hammers since Legion is over and DH isn’t used to promote the game, we got this.

I’m just glad I rerolled warrior, rotation and gameplay is more fun. Blizzard clearly has no direction for DH or its core problem would have been fixed since BFA after the loss of legion artefacts.

Trouble is Blizzard has no interest in fixing it. They blatantly ignore forums. Blizzard had tons of feedback in beta and did not do a thing to improve Demon Hunters. I think Blizz simply decides which classes they want to bench for an expansion and which classes they want to promote… And don’t forget the idiotic QQ brigade who cried in drones on how they hated demon hunters and how DH’s needed to nerf EVEN though DH’s were NEVER reigning supreme in 2’s or 3’s Arena ladders. VERY OBVIOUSLY blizzard developer loves mages, rogues and I almost wanted to say warriors but a few expectations back they were on the bench. Last expansions its always been either DK’s or Paladins, Ferals and now Demon Hunters who they break on purpose. Blizzard has been doing this the last 10 years. Sadly to say its part of their idiotic strategy that most likely has to do with subscriptions and keeping QQers happy.

yup i keep saying this class is exactly where blizzard wants it. forum is useless. reporting stuff is useless, giving feedback is life farting in the wind.
what’s left is for whoever currently develops classes to suck a fun stick.
cause lets face it, even if i get banned there is absolutely no downside.
