Nope, as real time cutscenes are merely meant for quest related visualized dialogue.
And as long people don’t understand the difference, this entire discussion is a lost cause.
And to all those complaining about lacking player characters: There is not one single game out there with pre rendered cutscenes that include player models.
I think that they are doing it because the standards of average player is pretty low, even in this topic we can see people defending blizzard “low budget, tight timeline, etc”
Infortunately for them, many others still have standards and expect quality for something we pay monthly for + the box price.
The cutscene that sparked this debate, was not even worth to be made into a cutscene.
It would have looked less cheap if they did this fight without placing us into a cutscene state
I mean, he is a fan of Warcraft/Classic Blizzard, so I don’t doubt he’d take the job seriously. Usually when you love something you take extra care/take it extra seriously.

That whole storyline shouldn’t have been made at all. When the storyboard was drawn someone with integrity should’ve walked into the room, shouted “WHAT IS THIS?!”, and tossed the lot of it into the garbage disposal bin, shredded all the contents of the garbage disposal bin, then burnt the paper. Just to make sure.
Make sure you have the office goblin strap a rocket too these people’s computers as well and shoot it into a wall, utterly destroying it. Just in case.
Saw the recent in-game cinematic, the quality of the writing and the scene is really bottom of the barrel, but the quality of the animation and choreography is absolutely amateur, there is no talent left at Blizzard.
It’s significantly worse than the machinima that used to be produced by fans 15 years ago with no in-house tools. The reality we have to accept is that WoW is never coming back, the people making it have no talent or passion.
The biggest issue is they have “passion” (obsession) - just not for the game, but for an agenda.

imho the entire hallowfall storyline is very bad written. The fact that even minor elements like a lance used as a sword, are totally nonsense, add a strong flavour of ineptitude that makes me sick.
Ahuh. I’m sure you know each of them personally, right? 
The latest Cinematic took maximum 15 minutes to make by any experienced Blizzard staff.
Which shows that they either don’t care about the quality or don’t have the right people working for them.
So WoW has then literally made you sick since the beginning.
Because ‘minor elements like that’ have ALWAYS been in the game.
Why on EARTH would that matter?
I saw at least 3-4 videos ripping at this scene. It is a bad scene in several ways. To say nothing of the characters themselves
no. probably since im very tired to play this game (in fact im playin 2 months yes and 2 not) are makin me notice more the bad storyline.
Back in old times there were many many bad things (like KT story imho) but probably i ignored’em cause i was really enjoyin the game.
Now im enjoyin less the game (not at the point to leave for good) and i notice more those things.
But the hallowfall storyline is REALLY bad, really. But this is a problem of mine, probably.
Because you have no clue how ‘millions of others’ feel.
