Here is how glorious the WoD kit was:
-
First of all, the strongest cooldown, Aspect of the Cheetah, 30% movement speed, 10 sec cd. No daze when you get hit.
-
3 instant traps
-
Traps are placeable in front of you, which I can’t emphasize enough how much stronger it is than now.
-
Explosive Trap knockback distance is super long, and it never failed to knock anything except a big boy DK from time to time.
-
Snake Trap adds to the class fantasy, and annoys all your enemies by chasing and slowing them.
-
A Murder of Crows for all Hunter specs.
The most defining Hunter cooldown and most infuriating ability in the game to be hit by. -
Binding Shot is off the global cooldown. You can make so many plays with that. Easily stun a Warrior on his charge, use it in combination with Explosive Trap on that pesky Warlock that just won’t move.
-
Our mastery, Spirit Bond, is our most defining skill as a survivalist. And it actually does something in that expansion.
-
Survivalist passive giving you health every time you get a kill, making you feel like a true survivalist.
-
Frozen Arrows were OP, I get it. Still fun.
-
2 Deterrence charges. Also sick animation.
-
Glaive Toss also looked cool. I do prefer the old Chakrams though, rest in peace to both of them.
-
Aspect of the Fox. Hands down, the best utility spell in the game, ever. And they took it away, just like that. No replacement, in any shape or form. Just gone.
What does a Hunter bring to the raid today? An ugly and irritating arrow that’s completely unnecessary on a boss that takes up half the room.
