Compressing game files

Hello everyone,
So I’ve noticed by compressing game files I can save up to 7 GB worth of disk space on games like CS:GO and Hollow Knight in my steam library without hurting the gameplay. But for some games like ETS 2, saving space is impossible due to game files already being compressed to the maximum upon installation. So I’ve been wondering which case is applicable to WOW. I don’t want to try and learn since compressing is a CPU-heavy process and sometimes it can brake the game files. I don’t want to re-download 70 GB of data  Let me know if any of you tried this before. And please don’t tell me to just buy a new SSD because they got very cheap. We don’t live in the same country
Cheers

WoW files are already compressed in CASC. I don’t know how good that compression though.
