I have received 2 months free trial of F-Secure VPN. Now I’m asking: what is an official policy of using VPN while playing BLIZZARD games? I turn VPN on when I’m using internet browser and really often I have WoW on other monitor and browser on other. I can’t find any official statement of VPN usage, only rumors telling using it can result suspension. Is it safe for my account to have VPN on while playing, I have no problems not using it when Im playing but sometimes I might forget it on.
You cannot intercept or redirect the IP protocols Warcraft uses. It may or may not result in a ban.
Imagine, one second you are connecting from home then it looks like you are connecting from somewhere else hundreds or even thousands of miles away. Looks dodgy, doesn’t it?

This is an old Blue Post about VPN use. I have no idea if this is still the current policy.
It is unlikely that you’d have your account closed, unless you are doing something that appears to violate our policy. While VPN’s aren’t prohibited, they aren’t directly supported and using one can make an account look suspicious at times, especially where it looks like an account is jumping around the planet.

You’re right it looks dodgy. I guess better just not having VPN on while playing.
