Blizz, please consider changing Enhancement Shaman’s Conflict and Strife PVP/E talent to something more useful, like Skyfury Totem.
At least then, the 5 enhancement shaman’s left crazy enough to still play this spec might actually be useful, and welcome into dungeons/raids if they can buff their groups crit.
It’s an insult to leave them this bad, and then give them Thundercharge as their essence talent. It’s not a horrible ability by any means, but I think Skyfury would make them look a lot more viable and helpful in PvE.
I could get behind the idea of thunder garbage if stormstrike would not have a reset mechanic but well…
They tried to remove all dps increasing talents from c&s but yea also partly failed in that pretty hard.
Remember when the essence appeared the first time for enhance it actually gave ride the lightning
Late reply, thundercharge in pve is pretty strong when you can reduce someone elses cooldowns in addition to your own for an well organised team. But you’re playing a support role at that point instead of a pure damage dealer, though the game still allows for this there isn’t much room for it at high end content.
Yes, if used right it can be pretty powerful, but it’s extremely niche at best, and isn’t going to benefit your team every time. At least not as much as Skyfury totem would. Not only does Skyfury have a shorter cooldown, but it works on ALL allies, lasts longer, and buffs their crit healing/damage by 20% which is pretty significant. I feel like enhance shamans would be way more useful with this over thundercharge.
Considering the spec is garbage right now, it’s not asking for much really.
Critical effects are a double edged sword though. Nice when they proc but worthless when they don’t. And at 40 seconds it seems really too powerful for pve group content, and likely to weak for solo pve unless you have a lot of stacked crit (and luck).
Perhaps this is why they didn’t go with Skyfury, in the event that it would be too powerful. I assume PvErs go out more on crit than they do in PvP, so your numbers would be insane with a shaman dropping a Skyfury totem every 40 seconds. Imagine lining it up with fire mages combustion and cutting through bosses like warm butter.
But as you said, if there’s not a lot of crit then you won’t get much out of it, so it balances itself out pretty well.
Would be really nice but also quite OP for raid dps It’s basically double the effect of the benthic crit dmg boots during a fight and those boots already beat 445 items for many specs.
Looking at current raid logs the dmg of enhancement is even with elemental on 4/8 bosses, which is cool. If Nyalotha bosses are a bit more melee friendly we’re probably gonna see more of enhancement in all content.
