The primalists are proto-dragons that are empowered by elementals right?
Where does this put the likes of cataclysm dragons ‘drake of the east wind’ or stone drakes or the dragons in stormheim? I don’t mention the dragons in Pandaria as they seem to be a different species? Most of these dragons I mentioned have elemental affinities like wind, earth and storm, but they are not proto-drakes. They don’t belong in any dragonflight either. How did they become like the titan gifted dragons AND elements still bestow their power?
We know that dragons can embrace elemental powers like Alysrazor. (Altho she was more of a phoenix by the end so /shrug) The Pandaria serpents are more like offspring of a wild god than actual dragons.
The Primalists are an oddity, in that we know that proto-dragons are descendants of elementals who weren’t sealed in the elemental planes. How they got this kind of power is likely to remain unexplained. Could have embraced their herritage and/or made a deal with the elemental lords.
The Warcraft universe has been butchered. There’s no point trying to figure out what’s going on and no point asking questions about specific connections because not even the writers have any idea about it. They just write the new stuff.
Obviously a dragon can change sides whenever they like. This is likely to be the case.
Razagreth (or however her name is spelled) looks like a proto-drake though.
The Jade Serpent is not a dragon. It’s a wild god. Cloud serpents are not related to the Dragonflights.
Hope this clears any confusion.
