So I started using cloud gaming recently. I seen on services such as boosteroid for example, they allow this game to be stream / played. However it kinda says its against the EULA, however from what I have heard they only block / ban accounts doing this on GeForce NOW? even though the game is not on there anymore anyway. Can someone basically clarify is this game ok to play on Boosteroid without risking an account ban?
I think every such service will result in a ban if caught, you must be near your machine that plays your account.
Fair, I will continue to play on my machine thats in front of me, its not like it uses a lot of graphical resources anyway. Better safe than sorry as they say.
It’s against the EULA, says so clear as day in section 1.C.v of the blizzard end user license agreement.
Boosterioid can advertise WoW as a game, unless Blizzard files legal action against them. But that doesn’t make it legal.
Why is it illegal? Eh. Security? Possibly harder to track cheats / modified files? Account sharing risks? But it’s 100% against the rules.
I think they should allow us to play this on the cloud or give us a cloud option. Cyberpunk 2077 is amazing on google stadia and I want to play games on the cloud. Especially since Cod and wow take up so much storage space. We should all riot against blizzard over this.
That’s just a popular one, but cloud gaming is not permitted as per the EULA.
Yeah that all makes sense, I thought I would double check last thing I would want is my account to be banned after playing for 10 years. I think blizzard is the only company that has this in there terms though? I think thats because its a paid account its mainly to stop account sharing on WoW so makes a lot of sense why they done it this way.
Yeah that makes sense, thanks for the help everyone. No need to respond with further clarification, its very clear to me now the answer is basically no.
