Did anyone do the math? Is it even worth a slot on the action bar?
Its worth to press when you have nothing to press, for me it does 7% dps on 3 target cleave while it costs nothing…
you should probably specify which spec you’re talking about, for prot it’s certainly not useless
It’s pretty useful for extra actions during downtime.
I find it gives me great AoE threat on packs…
7%3 target cleave in ret setaphim build… this char is my second paladin alt made for m+
I’d assume your talking about Ret and well its better than an empty global, and ret doesnt really have another filler. Consecration is also an ability you can hide and just have an hotkey for you dont need to have it visible.
So bar space shouldnt really be an issue, hotkeys sure but not bar space.
I’m not sure, but I simmed same day as pre patch and it didn’t even have consecration in the sim at all.
So either melee hit is stronger than a it or simcraft is bugged.
A filler in PvE and good for catching stealth in area.
Then increase it’s range so rogues cannot reach you in it?
Sorry you summed the day the prepatch went live? Wasnt that the day all the dimming apis were broken?
I’m not sure if they have since been fixed but that might explain the discrepancy
Another thing to consider if your simming and doing your rotation on live servers, at 60 you won’t have anywhere near the same amount of haste and empty globals are bound to happen.
Its easy math empty global or consecration even if it just did 5 damage it would still do 5 damage more than the empty global. Of course in a long fight I would be surprised if it ever did more than 1% of your total damage but it will add damage even if its not alot.
its actualy more but not by large margine 2% up to 2,5% … it depends a lot on your talents, with Seraphim you will have “significantly” more out of it then with Divine purpouse. When its starts to be realy solid in 5 or more targets situations. I think its ok like this, good as pvp option and ocasionaly solid in pve. its much more healthy for gameplay then as core heavy damage source of the spec in every situtation. That would be pretty uncomfortable for us.
For PvP it also has a few uses besides pure dps.
Interrupting everyone who is trying to cap a flag, acting as area avoidance for stealthers etc. It also has a pvp talent where it will remove any slow effects on allies running through it (or is that only available to prot?)
