Who said anything about suicide?
Works with me… not that I am here often, anyways. Leaves me free to do further risky research out of the city!
And where would that be? Just curious…
Won’t send any cops or anything there to catch you, no sir.
shifty eyes
There’s a lot of void elves among the enemy cultist NPCs in 8.3, which suggests that the whispers becoming more bothersome is an understatement!
Still no instant turn evil button, of course, but they will be under more pressure than ever.
Not RPing any void elves with any regularity rn, but I’ve a void using succubus, I imagine she’ll have some problems, but not enough to steal the spotlight from actual void elves.
Pitchforks, come get your pitchforks

I am truly looking forward to this. There is so much to do for void elves within this opportunity.
Oh you know, running naked in the streets screaming his praise for the old ones blessing and all around drop any pretense he isn’t already a puppet of the old gods.
Sharpens runeblade
Well, time for some… purging.
Is it true that being raised frees you from the whispers? Where does one sign up for that?
You know where to come.
Darrowshire.
Keeps on sharpening runeblade
I see your point, but I think it’s important to remember that the Ren’dorei aren’t like… the representatives of the void, so much as they’re saturated by it. Not to say they won’t be affected in the upcoming patch.
We have mages, warlocks, shamans, death knights, etc. Despite each respective magic having caused some world shattering event or devastation. I feel like we put Ren’dorei under heavy scrutiny more because of their unpopularity, compared to other offenders.
I don’t understand what’s wrong with that. If someone plays an aberrant crossbreed of the void and an elf then all they get is par for the course when the entire world is going to be threatened by void corruption and Old God minions.
And if someone is basing their dislike on an OOC opinion then it will still fit the patch’s theme and what the Velves should experience.
Sharpen your minds and make friends that would put you down if you become a lost cause.
I have a Ren’dorei I rarely play, although she is not an active Void/Shadow-magic user, I might still pick on her more if I become satisfied with 8.3 patch.
PFF!
#FelMagicDidNoWrong
last i checked in death knights, warlocks and demon hunters are frowned upon (canonically at least) and the others, well, they’re using that magic, not consumed or infused by it. not really comparable, i’d say
They are treated differently because void and dark are extremely closely tied to matters of the mind. It’s unusual for a shaman to be driven insane because of their use of elemental magic.
Just look at how Spriest is actually presented; to them, insanity is power, and the closer you get without succumbing (and Surrendering to Madness) the stronger you are.
I mean, if your character is the rioting type - go nuts. How that would likely be viewed by guards is anyone’s guess.
Unless we’re shown otherwise however, Stormwind etc. is not where I mean to spend my time IC anyway.
Wait…. mages and shamans caused harm?
