Consequences of the Ren'dorei (8.3 spoilers)

Pretty sure arcane usage is the #1 bait for the Burning Legion, and as such the basis of a lot of not so great stuff that happened to Azeroth.

Shamans, never seen actual shamanism cause a big bad thing as far as I know.

Well… the world soul was what they were after, arcane was just a means for them to enter our world.

I am scared of the wrath of Wrathion/Anduin shippers.

iirc the world soul wasn’t even a concept at the time, they just sniffed the big ol’ power of the Well of Eternity.

The law every mage has to remember.

  • Magic is powerful
  • Magic is corrupting
  • Magic is addicting
  • Magic draws the denizens of the Twisting Nether to those who wield the arcane

Also the Well of Eternity caused more trouble than it did good.

SInce a single shaman could in theory break the entire world, I guess they did at some point or another.

The Dark Shaman sure did, and shamans can summon Molten Giants, but it’s forbidden due to the extreme risks of causing another cataclysm.

Fair enough.

Rommath was right.

Xer’a was right all along

Let the purification begin.

Commence purification protocols. Entaro Xer’a

My void elf monk will mediate some extra time. The mists heal the body and Soothe the mind.

Sheilun, even if just a shadow of what it once was, does help focus.

Qiang.

Get the Shado-Pan dragon gun.

Wouldn’t this be a bit odd, though?

Sure the common peasant wouldn’t know about what the void elves did for the Alliance, but surely the guardsmen would follow the King’s orders to leave the void elves alone and keep them safe as citizens?

This is never a concern for the Stormwind’s top-tier criminal RPers, so why would the rioters care?

A fair and valid point.

Maybe I expect too much of Stormwind RP… I just… have hope for our kind, ya know?

Not sure, would they? Would each and every one of them in the days of N’zoth’s paranoia cling to their duty? Would each and every one of them maintain an omniscient perspective, where they know that the void elves aren’t guilty? Would they even be enough to stop riots? We have policemen doing their job in real life too, I dare say with much more potent tools to say the very least. Yet, riots still happen. People still get hurt during them.

Surely, the guards aren’t omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent, all at once? Not just after the Alliance suffered such great losses?

I never said things like that. :man_shrugging:

If you wanna make it about the common Joe the guardsmen ignoring their King’s orders that’s fine ofcourse.

But at that moment they stop being guardsmen of Stormwind and start being common thugs!

which orders

are there leaks in 8.3 of king wrynn writing and holding a long speech specifying that the void elves are totally innocent and to be defended at all costs

or will he and his forces, like most, say ‘alright let’s heck up some Void lads’

No, you’re right. The Guards are there only for appearance sake, criminals, rioters, murderers and anyone like them get free reign.

Ofcourse the King would be totally for genocide, that’s what he’s been doing al along, ofcourse. He was totally against peace with the Horde aslong as orcs and undead existed too!
