I’m going to write it here as it happens mostly and extremely often in arenas, and I dont think techincal support can help me with this issue.
I frequently (and I mean really frequently, like one in 3 arena games) get the error message that some addon did something, with the name of addon, which are always different and can be:
Omnibar
Weakauras
Gladiusex
Even craftsim???
Telmewhen
After removing this message, all my action bars are completely locked in the way that I cant use any abilities until I reload. Often reload takes 1 minute so if it happens at the beginning of the match after games open, it’s pretty much a loss.
I tried to reinstall the addons while saving my setting but it doesn’t seem to help at all. As current PvP in wow without addons is unplayable, is there any solution to this?
I have never had such issue in season 1 of Dragonflight and earlier variations of the game, it’s only right now that it’s happening extremely often. What gives?
Get the same, all addons updated. It happens randomly so sometimes when the game starts. I have one of the fastest SSDs and the load screen still takes on average 6-10 seconds while I’m still on mount
Getting the same, never had this much errors. Most likely addon creators losing interest in the game (understandably), and thus slacking with addon maintenance.
Omnibar is traditionally the one generating the most errors between patches… i’d start by eliminating that one first and testing if errors stop. Didn’t someone implement omnibar purely with weakauras? I’d guess it would be more stable
Also, gladiusex is old. Try using sArena just for a few skirmishes to see if errors go away.
Generally Omnibar and Weakauras are the most often culprit for this.
An easy fix to never have errors or popups during arena is to /reload every time you enter the starting room instantly. After that you will not experience any errors.
If you want to fish for the issue specifically, that may provde difficult. It’s a good idea to take a look at any outdated WeakAuras but other than that, don’t know what to tell you.
/reload in every starting room has about 98% success rate in making you not have any errors during your game. If you STILL get errors, it is likely some addon is really messed up.
