Constant electric discharge sounds bug- Temporary workaround

Hello everyone.

Yesterday I have encountered an issue with constant playback of electric discharge sounds. Combed through addons, updated them, turned them off to no avail. Relogs, dying, all the typical troubleshooting steps brought no positive outcome whatsoever.

Different characters did not have any issues of this kind, but my main character. Despite changing areas, instances - the sound persisted until pressing CTRL+S.

Today I have managed to pinpoint the source of the electrical sounds, so if anyone encounters the same bug I would advise the following:

• Go to Mmarl in Azj-Kahet - Possibly the root cause of the bug.
• Stand near tesla coils within Mmarl - You will notice the sound is gone, but it may reoccur upon leaving the area - Come back if that’s the case.
• Gather some charges near each coil perhaps. The northern one gave me so much positive charges that I almost died, but managed to leave the area once again
• Issue was fixed.

I’m writing this topic as there is a possibility I’m not the only one, judging by one US-forum post i couldn’t reply to due to my regional settings So, hopefully all the electric friends will find this topic to temporary resolve their issue. Have a good day!

I did do a quest in Mmarl, didn’t notice the sound at first, traveled around and started noticing an annoying buzz in my ear. Logged out and back in, nog change. The sound seemed even more persitant. Checked for corrupted sound files, no change. Uninstalled and installed the game again, no change. I got sad first but then I saw your post. Your sollution worked like a charm. Happy again.

if u are - charged you must go to + charge and its gone

The problem was - there would be no indication of charges whatsoever, and the sound bug persisted through instances, areas.
