Hello everyone!
For three days now I have struggled with trying to solve this issue. Whenever I am trying to click the install button it shows the screen where you choose which drive to install the game to along with the language settings. When I click to continue the installation the button gets stuck in an endless loop for about 5-10 minutes before giving the error message written above. Sometimes it makes it past that screen and the download begins, however it never gets anywhere since it downloads very slowly (talking kb/s here) and then keeps getting interrupted by the download switching to a “initializing” phase and then followed by a “patching” message underneath the download bar in the corner. Once again, after 5-10 minutes the same error message is displayed and the download no longer continues or is able to be started again until the whole app is closed down and restarted. I have Googled and read many potential solutions but none have work and I am running out of possible ideas on how to fix this. Here is a list of things that I have tried so far:
- Running the ipconfig and flushing the DNS cache.
- Several attempts at uninstalling and reinstalling the BattleNet launcher, as well as installing it on different drives (all of my drives are SSD).
- Creating a new admin account on the PC and attempting an install from there.
- Booting the computer into Safe Mode with Network turned on and attempting an install from there.
- Attempting to several times delete the folders associated with BattleNet or Blizzard in folders such as %appdata% or %programdata% along with making sure that all instances of the BattleNet Launcher and “Agent” are ended in the Task Manager.
- Plugging an Ethernet cable into my PC and using that instead of WiFi to see if there was a connection problem.
- Changing the BattleNet Launcher into its Beta mode to see if that resolves the issue.
- Running the BattleNet Launcher in Administration mode.
- Running a security scan to make sure there are no viruses or other issues with the PC.
- Disabled all of my firewalls and antivirus programs and then attempting to do the install again.
I am sure there are other things I have tried over the past three days that I can’t think of at the moment. Safe to say however is that I feel as if I have tried every solution that I have been able to find online. I have no idea what is a possible solution at this point, so I turn to you all in hopes of someone being able to help me.
