Continuing Class Tuning

We’ve recently made the following change, which is live on all realms.

Raids

  • Heart of Fear
    • Garalon
      • Arms Warriors’ Sweeping Strikes no longer deal 100% increased damage to Garalon’s body when striking a Leg.
    • Developers’ notes: In Original Mists of Pandaria, during the first week of Heart of Fear Heroic difficulty, a Garalon hotfix addressed Sweeping Strikes, Blade Flurry, and similar effects. This was later superseded by changes made to Sweeping Strikes in patch 5.4, when Garalon was no longer the most relevant content. This fix returns Sweeping Strikes to its original behavior for Garalon’s body.

Additionally, this change will go live with scheduled weekly maintenance in each region:

Classes

  • Rogue
    • Subtlety
      • Sanguinary Veins bonus damage reduced to 40% (was 50%).
    • Developers’ notes: A bug fix made right before the release of Heart of Fear addressed a situation where multiple rogues in a group were constantly removing this damage increase from each other and not benefitting from it. The bug was pulling down average Subtlety performance, and since the correction, things got a little out of hand. This may display an incorrect value between 40/45/50%, so to be clear, 40% is the intended value.

We will continue to monitor the performance of all classes in Mists of Pandaria Classic as players’ gear improves with raid progression, and we expect to develop more adjustments as they become necessary.

yo i need to type here so my logs gets updated

Retail tuning soon?

Thanks for looking into it.

Buff resto shaman again, you butchered us

Yeah, we need some buffs. Those nerfs were savage.

Why nerf sweeping strikes on garalon but slice and dice + sanguinary veins works on the amber shaper construct?

where destro buff/tweaks? spec ignored for 3 expansions :grimacing:

When it comes to healers, Holy Priests still need some sort of utility buff however small.

But my issue currently with the healers is the gameplay.

Some classes rely overly on a single spell for the majority of their heals as if this is Wrath again.

Priests → Divine Star
Restodruids → Efflo
Restoshamans → Healing rain

These spells need to be nerfed and their other spells e.g. prayer of healing, chain heal need to be buffed so that there is a less passive gameplay.

Maybe people use them, because content can be healer though only using those spells while other being unefficient and nerfed to the ground allready?

I’m really sorry but I cannot understand what you’re trying to say.

Passive gameplay ? you HAVE to be a non healer player and you never tried heroic, be honest. there is NOTHING passive about any healer in any fight except maybe Emperor.

I cleared Heroic MSV and HOF 6/6 as a healer tyvm. Two classes. I stand by my argument. Some classes rely on passive healing for the majority of their heating. That gameplay is boring.

You stated that

I relied that the reason for using only them is because other spells are allready nerfed. If you gut every healing ability, guess what would happen to progression in raids.

I said that those spells needs to be nerfed, but other spells need to be buffed.

For example, healing rain should not get the unleash elements buff and to compensate for that, chain heal needs to be buffed.

I hope that this clarifies my point. Thanks.
